That was a calculated risk the PGA Tour took with how they set up the routing for the event. They are starting on #5 to make sure all the best holes get played. As a result, 18 (for this competition) is not a good finishing hole when the matches make it there and not a good spot for buildout with the water surrounding it.
I am not saying I agree with the decision or that the crowds are fine; just pointing out why they don't have huge stands or a ton of people around 18.

Well, the 12th hole in this routing would be the 17th normally. That hole was by far the most interesting part of the day. It would be extremely cool to have it be one of the finishers for a tight match, but it would be a shame if it only got played 2/3 of the time.

Yeah, they lost 5-0 in the first foursomes session 2 years ago, but they won 3-1 in the Saturday foursomes.
In the Ryder Cup, it was mainly a home team winning foursomes trend, but that switched hard at Bethpage.
If today finishes lopsided and they lose foursomes tomorrow, I'll stop making this argument.

Jesus, Cantlay and Xander just conceded a hole before even getting to the green. Xander looked like one of us out there laying the sod over it.

The international community is just much better at foursomes than us apparently. Makes sense because our forefathers were prudes.

Just a baffling amount of commercials. Just timed it after it came back from a full 4-5 minute commercial break, they show 2 minutes and 30 seconds of golf and then go to a full two minutes of half screen commercials. Wtf is going on.

There is only 10 golf balls on the course. It’s either commercials or showing a lot of nothing on the course
