Looks like once they finish at frisco we get a run of good courses again.
2027 - PGA Frisco
And then
2028 - Olympic club
2029 - Baltusrol
2030 - Congressional
2031 - Kiawah
Hopefully Valhalla is completely out the rotation. Idk how many more times we need to see that place.

PGA Frisco is really bad but there’s some home cooking going on there. It’s their new HQ right? I just can’t group Quail in with those two courses it’s not that bad.
Yes, they manage the course which is why it's being played there multiple times. Same reason Valhalla got on the regular rotation.
Quail is fine for a tour event, but it's closer to a run of the mill TPC course than it is to the classic major championship venues and even some of the really cool new courses.
Chambers Bay and Erin Hills weren't the best US Open courses, but would be great for the PGA.

The PGA managed Frisco (forgot the Omni is the actual owner)
They used to be an owner in Valhalla which is why it ended up with so many PGA events

PGA of America owned Valhalla and sold it back to some Louisville businessmen in 2022

I don't mind QH either, and I think it's quite good for a regular stop and more regal than a lot of the TPCs. But I agree with the poster who doesn't like using regular tour stops for majors and it feels overexposed/saturated. Kills the novelty of it.

He can't. McIlroy won the 2025 Masters. That nonsense called a Career Grand Slam isn't a Grand Slam

Southern Hills is a great course for the PGA. The good thing about moving the tournament to May is that it brings courses like that back into the mix.
Tulsa in August is just too hot for everyone involved; golfers, spectators, volunteers, concession workers, etc.

Olympic Club in 2028 will be nice. Love watching a major in prime time.

Selected odds courtesy of FanDuel…make every moment more!
Scheff +400
Rory +450
Bryson +700
Rahm +1800
JT +2000
Aberg +2500
Koepka +4000
Straka being below some of these guys at +6000 is just name value alone at this point
He's 5th in strokes gained this year on tour and coming off a win.
2nd in SG: Approach.
I guess they don't think he can drive it as well as some others but he definitely has been better with his driver than JT
Regardless this is Rory's tourney to lose

Tee times should be any moment.

Apparently there is a 289 yard par 3. So dumb.

Very, they're trying to be the U. S. Open I guess.

Whoever plays the best four rounds of golf is going to win the Wanamaker

Doesn’t hit it far enough. He’ll have to have an all time ball striking and putting week to contend.
If anybody is undervalued, it’s Xander. He’s historically been a quail hollow menace

I think everyone (including Vegas) is expecting it to be a bombers playground with all the rain the course has gotten.
Straka is a good ball striker but lacks the horsepower of Bryson, Rory, Scottie, Aberg, etc.
