WM 1
SLC 6

Final

Cupit held them at bay for a long time, they got 2 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th with some other kids on the mound. Come back and play Rockwall tomorrow at 10am.

Bryce Wilson throws a whale of a game, and we survive a seventh inning scare to defeat Hahnville 3-2… back to .500 again for now

West Monroe bats struggle (only 2 hits) against a solid Rockwall team. Get shut out 5-0.

A tough extra inning loss at Zachary… we finish the week 1-4.

What was the BM-Chalmette final?

ETA: BM got trucked by Zachary, 17-7. BM is still a really confusing team.

5-2 BM…

I feel a little better now about us nearing the halfway point of the season… and no one wants to see Bryce in the playoffs… if we get in

It’s the mid season lull before districts start

Plus Barbe, WM, and us haven’t had the best starts… maybe some new teams are on top this year?

Mandeville beat BM 2/3, beat Shaw, took 2/3 from Sam Houston. Then got no-hit by Holy Cross and Hahnville in the same week. Up and down, to say the least.

Good bit of up and down across the state, though. Should calm down once district gets here and lineups/rotations settle. Teams play/pitch so many kids nowadays you just don't really get a great read early on.

Jesuit is a team no one is talking about. 10-2 with wins over Mandeville, PJP (1-1 vs them), Ponchatoula, Covington, beat and knocked out the Southern Miss signee from Belle Chase after 3 innings with 7 hits, Lakeshore, and Shaw 10-0 in 5 innings, among others. Losses to PJP and De La Salle but was winning or tied with both teams going into the 7th. Also has 5 shutouts in 12 games. They seem to face every team's ace or #2 too.

Team is real young we started a freshman on the mound against Rummel and Hitting has definitely been an issue we may settle down when district play starts. we have an senior with an elite arm and I really good junior and sophomore as starters. But hitting has to improve.

Barbe with a little revenge win. STM can swing it, SH now with 3 losses, all 1 run heartbreakers. SH is my pick to win it all though. Homerun power throughout the lineup, defense is the best Ive seen. 3 solid starters with a bullpen as deep as they get.
