Morikawa played great this afternoon and Hovland played like arse. Not saying he’s the statistical favorite, but it’s not no shot

The one that has no shot is crying Scheffler. He is done.
JT, Fowler, Spieth, and Clark also are toast. Everybody else has a fighting chance.

Scottie is broken. Rahm is still pissed he lost to him in singles last time. Rahm carried the entire Euro team at Whistling Straights, then ran out of gas on the last day in his singles match. Scottie got a lot of press and praise for beating Rahm. This time Rahm is rested and ready for revenge tomorrow.
Rory and Hovland had been on fire, and both played two full days of golf. Hopefully all that energy spent and losing their afternoon matches lingers into their singles matches.
If Burns and Morikawa can steal their matches, then the Americans have a chance.

Burns is the reigning match play champ and was a birdie machine today. I’m not so sure burns winning is “stealing” one

I rarely agree w/ you, but the "hate" for the Burns pick is really odd to me.
Dude has some kind of attitude that features his match play over his stroke play. I don't get it, but that's how he is wired I guess.
Burns winning over Rory should not be a surprise. The surprise would be if Rory dominates him.

I don't care about the rules of who qualifies for the Ryder. It's about to change anyway.
However, what the hell happened in the 9 to 7 match. Based on what I read both Brooks and Scheffler stunk, but apparently Scottie was the weak link. The first 2 rounds I saw, Scottie was awful from the tee. The few holes I saw last night before I fell asleep Scottie stunk.

Yesterday Scottie was better than brooks. At one point in fourballs they used Scottie’s ball 10 straight holes

I definitely wouldn't have sent Scottie out first. Rahm is going to win that one early and stifle whatever momentum the USA team gained at the end today.

Course set up is the reason why.
We set up courses with wide fairways and short rough with fast greens.
Euros set up courses with narrow fairways, brutal rough, and slow greens (relatively speaking as far as elite competitions go)
Both fit stereotypical style of play for the home side better.

Rory initiated it. LaCava was almost 90 degrees from the ball and line of the putt. Rory turned and started the issue.
