or many of us, including most of the guys on tour between 25-35, tiger is the single biggest reason we started playing or even paying attention to golf.

I started playing golf at 8 yrs old in 1996. Tiger won the masters by 12 stokes the next year. I basically grew up with him being the most dominant golfer of all time. If he’s in the field, and especially if he’s contending I’m glued to the TV.

Agree wholeheartedly with your statement

I’m simply pointing out tiger is a top 5 golfer right now in big tournaments. More likely top 3

He has the best score to par in majors since 2018 Open

Did anyone think the lead would only be -7? After yesterday I figured it would get to -10 easy.

So jealous. I think the whole John Daly thing is played out but god damn I love hooters

We were driving down the road and my dad saw a bus and jokingly said “I wonder if that’s Jon Daly’s bus” and I was like yeah I bet it is he has his Masters event here. He’s a big JD fan but had no idea about the Hooters event.

I said -11 or -12.

Pretty shocked it ended up what it was TBH

I’d be surprised if the course wasn’t more gettable tomorrow to separate some folks

Yeah, I'm not gonna pollute the thread bashing Tiger all day like some guys do. But, the fanboys with the hurr durr Big Cat is back every time he hits a good a shot drive me insane. In any event, it's great theater when he's in contention. I hope he loses by a shot.

Exactly the right approach. I want Tiger in the mix. I'm not even sure I would mind him winning it. But he's not the reason I like the Masters or golf generally. That people tune out if he's not in the mix at the Farmers is one thing. At the Masters?

Tiger Woods wakes up on the bathroom floor of a Chili's, surrounded by 3 waitresses in various stages of undress. He stands up, finds a glass of strawberry margarita on the bathroom counter. Slams it back.

"It's fricking go time."

He wins his fifth Masters later this weekend.

Tiger is 27th in the field in strokes gained putting. Leaders are Day and DJ.

If he starts sinking these short putts, game over. He is driving well. He just needs to finish with the short putts.

He looked confident those last 6 holes. Hopefully his ankle is good from the security guard sliding into it

It's optimism that the greatest golfer of all time can return to some reasonable version of his old self. Nothing wrong with that.

Nonsense, you’re a Tiger nutlicker. They should have showed all of Zach Johnson’s shots

To be fair, I'm absolutely a Tiger nutlicker, and Zach Johnson's tee shot into the tee marker was great.

No doubt, it’s just the mindset. Tiger pulls in all of the “fringe” golf fans. You know it, I know it, the network knows it.

Folks that don’t like him bitch anyway

I get being over Tiger for some people, especially if you never liked the guy.

But I sometimes wonder if the people bitching about people being excited over him right now even remembers pre-Tiger golf. Or actually watched Tiger in his prime (and not just on YouTube highlights).

The guy is electric when he’s on. Period. If you can’t enjoy that then you just have no soul.

Relax, fanboy. I'm just pointing out that, until he does it, he's not "back". He's JAG who can contend.

Besides, list all the majors Tiger won when he had to chase down the leaders.

Here is a list of majors tiger has won being down going into Saturday

Multiple Masters
A Us open
Multiple PGA championships

That’s it though

In total, tiger has won 5 majors being down going into Saturday. So, in summary, tiger has won more majors being down going into Saturday than the rest of the field has won total (Phil is tied with 5 total majors )
