I agree that Tiger didn’t save golf. It was little more than a niche sport and was content with being that.
Tiger took it mainstream to the front page, week in and week out. During his absence, it was slowly returning back to niche status (ratings prove this)....as it will when he hangs it up for good. I don’t see why this is a point of contention

Just getting my cell phone after leaving the course. Spieth hit the guy in front of me on 2 and JB Holmes almost hit me in the woods on 15. Awesome day. Split start tomorrow, leaders tee off at 9:20 EST
