Not a great situation for Tiger but if he can get out of here with a Bogey and pick another shot up in his way in, he's not out of the tournament with a round of 2 over, not with the way the rest of the leaderboard looks right now

seriously. Tiger shot a 40 on the front 9 in 97 when he set the tournament record. No, he is not the same player he was then, but saying a guy is out of the tournament at possibly 3 or 4 over in round 1 of a major on hole 12 is a bit of an overreaction. Even if he makes a double here, he's still wouldn't be outside the cut line
