Terrible start for Hall, he was one of my favorites this week
You thought Harry Hall who is the 73rd ranked player in the world (where we don’t rank like 25 of the top 100 players) who has one opposite field event win was a favorite?
Could you please explain?

Wouldn’t have considered him one of the favorites, but he has finished in the top 25 in each of his last 7 starts.
73rd in OWGR, but 22nd in Data Golf right now.

4 of those are closer to Korn Ferry events than a major field. He’s a real pro, but him winning, or even being in contention, would be shocking and the first time he’s contended in a field of the top players in the world

So weird how Rory finds those downhills putts tougher
They are the same as an uphill putt

I don’t remember Rahm being a slow player, but his group gets put on the clock all the time now.

I'd be pretty pissed to get a clock warning around the 18th green

I was surprised when the commentator mentioned nobody being ahead of their group. When I was watching earlier, Rahm hit a wayward drive then immediately started bitching about having to wait 45 minutes to hit his tee shot.

tough course for Bryson, not driver friendly and bad lies all over the place.
glad to see it

Just getting to turn it on and that was the first shot I saw
Didn't see the actual ball but with that grass and being that much above his feet, he probably should have just taken his medicine and took a drop.

Saw your Pine Dunes thread baw. I was out there in March, greens were good but temper your expectations, it’s probably not in the top 10 of public courses in North Texas, much less the state.
I’m guessing they’ve had significant overgrowth since it opened because it’s tight as shite. There’s a few holes that are almost fairway or lost ball

Yea I watched one video of it on youtube and was like yeeeaaaa best public course in Texas is a bold claim. Lot of good public courses in Texas.

Ugh. Wrong time for this tournament because the past month my shoulder has been absolutely killing me. Went from playing 3-4 times a week to once a week and wasn't even able to finish 18 last time I was out. Going to struggle playing two days in a row. Feel really old saying that

Nice “frick!” from Fleetwood on #5

speaking of Bryson, did anyone catch that Smylie interview where he said Bryson was experimenting with some non-conforming golf ball during his practice rounds? I get he's always looking for edges with equipment tech, but seems like an odd time to be messing around with a ball he can't even use on the course this week.

Got great content though

Catching up on delay right now but holy shite what a stark difference on USA between the local/Irish/UK broadcast crew and the American crew. Early coverage was calm and relaxing. The Americans come on and instantly change the vibe with the loud and expressive ‘sports announcer guy’ voices. I had to turn down the volume because they apparently boosted the volume of the commentators. Gotta find the full time UK broadcast for the weekend.

Best drive of the day for Bryson on #8. Finally found a fairway
