These greens are small. They don’t really have a lot of tough pins.
If the wind isn’t blowing at Pebble, this will happen. Nothing you can do about the weather. Same was the case at Erin Hills.

He's hitting fairways & greens & making putts. I'm sure the USGA isn't thrilled, but they couldn't deal with the alternative from a PR perspective.

The Masters allows players to shoot -6 on the back 9 alone. The fairways are tiny this week, the players are just that good.

They also made a few holes easier like 14

For sure. I’m not saying it’s a player issue in anyway, USGA I think dropped the ball a bit. I’ve enjoyed the thing regardless.

Today. Yesterday was the first day he’d gained strokes on the field on the greens. He’s been hitting the ball well all week though.
