Never thought Rory Mcllroy would be having the same conversation in his head as I do after 3 holes. "Ok if I just par out from here, maybe a birdie here and there, I can still salvage this round. It won't be that bad."

Hypothetically, where does everyone think Tiger needs to be at the end of the day today to have any chance?

And here goes the part of the day when Spieth compounds one bogey with 4 to 5 bad shots in a row to follow it up.

Shoot 67, hope Koepka starts coming back (both highly unlikely)

I think he needs a 65 or 66. Just find some birdies and keep it in the fairway. The course can be had. -2 under at the end of today would be a win after yesterday.

Yea. I'm with you. I'd say the absolute best he could do today would be -4 on the day, -2 going into the weekend. See where things play out after that.

Anything under par for the next 2 days should give him a chance on Sunday. I don’t think Bruce will keep this pace up

If he's -1 or -2 under on the tournament after today, he still has a decent chance unless Bruce goes nuclear again today.

That’s the conversation you have after being +5 through three holes? I am usually deciding whether to pack up and grab breakfast or wait until the turn to quit and grab lunch. Salvaging a round is out of the question for me at that stage. Either that or I have to go get a calculator from my vehicle to figure out what my score will be.

I'm always thinking about salvaging my round because of how much money I just spent to play that round.
