Brady tweeted out twice during the game. First time he said there were too many penalties and that the refs should let them play. Less than 10 minutes later, he announced he was turning the game off.

Penalties are up 47% compared to this time last year.

That is staggering.

He’s right.

Perhaps it’s a conspiracy in order to make it easier to get rid of kickoffs and punts..

The players should stop committing fouls. Last year everyone complained bc they didn’t throw a flag in the Saints game. Now everyone is complaining because they are calls the fouls.

The players have to get better

How many rules were made specifically to protect Brady?

GOAT is being a little hypocritical. He complains about flags anytime someone is within a five foot radius of his feet.

Yeah, 2% against the rest of the league and 467% against the Saints.

Oh, and don't quote me on those statistics.

While he's correct, I'm sure he loves all the protection afforded QB's in today's football.

He’s going to be able to play until he’s 50 with these new rules and the magic elixir he’s obviously injecting.

Offensive holding penalties have skyrocketed. I think it’s an attempt to try to balance out the roughing penalties. NFL logic is to throw more flags to make it fair.

However, I see a lot of defensive players get tangled up with a lineman. It looks like there could be holding from my vantage point on the couch. The Defender breaks free just as the QB is throwing a pass, and then the defender takes a step or two too many and hits the QB.

Sometimes it’s frustration, but other times the defender is off balance or has been turned halfway around and has lost sight of the QB.

I don’t know, but am curious if the NFL has determined a significant percentage of roughing penalties occurred on defensive players that were held, but no penalty was called. Throw a bunch of flags now in hopes fewer flags will be called down the road.
