Leave it to Aggie fans to troll a thread about Texas football...

Man, the tigers are pretty cocky with Coach

Our coach is coming off a winning season. We've got actual room to be cocky.

Right now, this is Aggie football...

Who's saying they'll win 9 or 10 games this year?

With recruits jumping ship left and right. A coach half your base doesn't even want, and a DC that's just waiting for someone else to call him up to HC.

And how are we doing now recruiting wise? And you'll keep on taking yet another loss to us and like it.

Because that's the Aggie way.

Looks like LSU is 5th in recruiting, which is three spots below the #2 Fightin' Texas Aggies and Jimbo Fisher

until Herman proves he can build an offense to outscore other offenses in the conference I'd temper the expectations

The leading rusher last year was the qb with 381 yards all season. I'd think his first priority should be figuring out how to run the damn ball. If he is unsuccessful running the ball this season his offense is going to suck and he wont be the offensive guru the horns act like he is.

His success this season depends on his o-line. The horns act like the o-line should be improved but I'm not buying it at this point.

We definitely don’t have any reason to be cocky. We lost to fricking Troy

Maryland - W
Tulsa - W
USC - L
TCU - L
K-State - W
Oklahoma - L
Baylor - W
Oklahoma State - L
West Virginia - W
Texas Tech - W
Iowa State - W
Kansas - W

8-4, though they could easily drop the WVU and KSU games. Texas is snakebit in Manhattan.

I haven’t heard any of them act like that, and they shouldn’t. It was a weak unit last year and it is even weaker now.

The time to brag is after the final tally, and after the game.

So far, you have no reason to brag. I predict after LSU beats the Aggies again...you'll go back to you safe circle-jerk at TexAgs.

In other words, like every year. It's the Aggie way.

Park played 3 games and never played again.

I was just giving you a hard time there. I couldn't believe Park was playing over Kempt at any point in the season last year.

And yeah Joel is gone which is a big loss along with Lazard

I mean, we lost our best player on each side of the ball (Roquan and Nick/Sony) but depth solves a lot of issues.

That’s a fair point.

Don't get me wrong. I think Baylor could surprise. They played OU and West Virginia very close last year, and outside of a game or two late it looked like they showed progress all season long. All of those guys who started last year, will now be in year 2 which should be a big jump.

The team that lost to Liberty, UTSA, and Duke, was not the same team that people faced in week 12.

Their offensive line was poor last year and looks to be worse this year. Additionally, with all the spread stuff going on in Texas HS football, O/D Line recruits from Texas are all pretty soft.

Their defense should be decent-good but I'm not sold on Herman as a HC. I'd guess 7 wins with then a step back next year.

There is also the HUGE possibility of them mishandling their QB situation (again) and no, this is not a repeat from the 2000s.

Wish Sumlin beat Les at the end of 2015. And I liked Les, and hate to lose any game, especially to them, but I feel we’d be better off.

Lord knows who “I’m the Search” hires (he still probably blows the Jimbo hire) but I’m pretty sure it ain’t Coach Coonass. O (and Derek) wouldn’t have had time to crank the propaganda machine up.

Everyone whom listed Texas’ schedule had them beating Baylor like it’s some automatic win.

Baylor will be back this year. Back to their yearly 3-5 wins and stadium filled up with opposing fans because it's by far the cheapest way to see your team play.

Wonder if Baylor is doing the 'daily high' promotion again. Where season tickets costs whatever the daily high temperature of the previous day was.
