Yes I remember GJ almost came to China Spring. His dad interviewed after getting shot.
He didn’t win state.

Last time I was in Brenham I gave a chick that was ripping a cig at the gas pump my phone number.

Sure didn't. We were 10-0, #1 in State and ended the season with the worst possible record from there... 10-1. Kinne was a hoss.

Sao, were you ever on 3Adownlow?
Yeah he lost to LaMichael James and will middlebrooks who won it all that year I believe. They beat a cross town rival of ours that was in our district in the state game.

I lurked 3ADL during the seasons but never posted. That was a pretty big site for what was really a regional specific sports board.
Gilmer vs Celina next week. Winner to Jerry World. Should be a good match up.

Yes I still post on there during the playoffs.
It is nowhere nearly as active as it was a decade ago.
I am watching Cuero and Navarro and both of these teams looks bad. I thinks CS will roll

Cuero hits a bomb with 50 secs left to win over Navarro.
We played Cuero I. The semis when I went to state. They will beat Cuero from what I’ve seen tonight. I think they may beat Celina, who we lost to in state

CC Flour Bluff beats CC Veterans Memorial in the 5A-D1 Region IV Final. 13-7 slugfest that ended with a defensive stand inside the 5. Flour Bluff has earned the right to get smashed by Katy Paetow in the semis. I think Denton Ryan takes the title.

Yeah it’s pretty crazy because it’s grown a good bit since I graduated, but we were 3A-D1 my senior year. Now that was before D1 and D2 were split pre-playoffs, but they are still D2.
My parents still live out there and it’s gotten so much shite in terms of businesses. We had a bush’s chicken and a gas station cafe when I was there. Got a McDonald’s my senior year and it was a big deal
Apparently the elementary schools are packed in terms of enrollment.

God I think I was at that game as a 10-year-old

Pulling hard for Gilmer and Daingerfield tonight.
My alma mater took them down.
I'm rooting for the Waskom Wildcats to win another championship.

China Spring is the new Aledo. Gettin all them Waco boys
Most of the affluent folk in the suburbs have been out towards Midway ISD, but it seems like the growth has been in that area.
i'm always amazed following some of the growth trajectories of some districts. my little 2A (in the 90s, 2A, not today's 2A) west texas is still 3A and played schools like Aledo, Prosper, Liberty Hill, etc. back then when we would go through the playoffs. They all have moved up, but apparently my district has managed to stay at about 300 students in the HS, despite the fact it's not a dying down at all. population in the area is up 20% from when i grew up there.

South Oak Cliff 44

SOC may become the first DISD school since 1958 to win a state title (the 1988 Carter team had theirs revoked due to a grade scandal; whatever sympathy they may have had during that mess went away with the armed robbery string by several players later that school year).
And Austin LBJ -- another big city school -- also has a shot at the title.

I saw someone tweet about SOC giving hope to inner city schools.. I’d just like to remind everyone that Highland Park is closer to downtown Dallas than SOC..
