Hamilton wins 21-7 to secure their first state title. Joaquin can’t comeback in the 4th after doing so last week against Refugio. Jayton wins back-to-back titles and Gordon gets a mercy-rule win in the 3rd.

Wall v Newton might be the game to watch tomorrow.

I don’t know about that. Gunter is an absolute powerhouse and Wall got through them.

gunter was down this year from previous. wall has a really good team. if they can make the quick pass game work it would be great. newton has 4-5 guys that are very fast. i just make prediction based on watching game tapes on both teams.

Muenster is shutting down Shiner. The Hornets stopped the Commanches on 4th and two. Muenster takes the ball with a 28-0 score and 9:22 let in the game.

You should get a look at my Facebook inbox messages.

BTW, I was looking forward to watching on Bally's. Fanduel channel sucks.

In Jerryworld and locked in for Wall.

Even though Newton is not “my team” glad to see two rural teams playing, not Dallas suburbs that recruit from 5/6As win one either way.

Don’t know how it looks on screen but Wall has size by A LOT.

Newton is fast though.

A man after my heart. Louisiana has tons of 1A, 2A and 3A Christian privates in metropolitan areas (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Shreveport and Monroe) that the rural public 1A, 2A and 3A's used to have to compete with before the state association split privates and any other schools that take kids from other areas, away from regular public schools.

I lived in Dallas for 30 years. I moved back over here in 2011. I always thought Texas did sports right. The privates stayed in their lane. They were really there for academics. They played in Tapps and I'm sure they were competitive against their rich neighbors that went to another school. Nobody, but them cared about how their teams did.

Seems like the private schools have become more important to the media. I see a lot of highly recruited kids are attending private schools over there now. I read it started with people who ran AAU basketball programs getting kids in small privates. Is that spreading like a wildfire now?

Maybe in DFW and Houston.

I have friends that play at a competitive (but not elite) private school in Waco and they get wrecked by Dallas schools that have 3-5 D1 prospects in football. Basketball and Baseball are more competitive, but metro Private schools can clean up from 4-6/A schools.

Newton isn’t explosive but they are fast on the edges. They can chip away quick.

Newton just straight up faked an injury there to get clock stoppage before the 2.

I got no hate for Newton but the way that Newton dude was holding on to the ball after they gave it to Wall on the onside was heartbreaking.

Ton of fun to be there. My Senior year was the first time wall made playoffs in 10 years in 2001 and they e been really close for two decades. Great to get to see it with my folks.

Dropped them off at the hotel and I have a 3 hour drive ahead of me!
