But it still doesn't make sense to announce today that you are going to make a move 4 years from now

I think this was A&M finding out about talks happening and we just leaked it to make it public knowing that this is a multi year thing

I get the feeling this wasn't supposed to get out yet cause the timeline really doesn't make sense. But I can be wrong

You could be right - I truly believe though these things were in motion already. A leak was bound to happen.

I no Ags will give me shite since I'm not one of them but I do understand why y'all don't want Texas the rest of the sec has to way logically OU/UT or 2 mid tier ACC schools because super conferences are bound to happen. One conference was going to make the move first anf the others would follow very quickly so they don't get bad picks.

I just think logically it makes sense if the SEC wants to be premier to ok Ou and UT. It doesn't makes sense to add 2 mid tier ACC schools they won't bring nearly enough.

I still think A&M and Mizzou will be Nos but the rest will be Yes in the end.

If this happens, I could see Kansas to the Big 10 because supposedly they have good academics. Don’t know who #16 would be, maybe Iowa State, but they add nothing.

Texas will regret this immediately after they finish at or below .500 every season

ETA: You keep your biggest rivalries this way, hopefully would go to 9 conference games and fully rotate the non-divisional.

Keep your biggest rivalries but LSU loses the Florida and Bama games?

Correct.

Neither of those are historically the biggest rivalries.

ETA: The SEC cares about Alabama vs. Tennessee, Auburn vs. Georgia, Alabama vs. Auburn, Florida vs. Georgia, and a distant 5th is the Egg Bowl.

I get money is what pushes everything but man, this wouldn't be good for LSU either

You let two more major regional powers into the mix and yall are basically shoehorned into playing in what will essentially be the new big 12 with A&M, UT, OU, and mizzou

I prefer that to adding 2 mid tier acc schools that won't bring shite with them.

0% chance

The Big Ten would take Kansas while Iowa State would fit academically (another AAU school) but they have Iowa already so can't see that happening.

The SEC will almost certainly switch to a pod system for balance and maintaining certain rivalries.

I do agree with that. I just wonder if it was up to us, schools like LSU and A&M, we'd be maybe more proactive in pushing for comparative ACC schools. Like clemson or FSU or Miami

Agreed. It might not happen the first season but it would work itself out after some time so everyone can come to agreement.
