Billups one of my 20 or so all time favorite players. I saw him play in freaking High School at GW Denver. I’m an NHL guy though and haven’t watched a game in 2 decades so I’ll leave this once-great, ridiculously soft sport to you guys.

What were they doing?
Press conference mentioned cameras under the table or x-ray tables that allowed them to see what cards each player had. Also talked about card shuffling machines that could recognize the order of the cards so the dealer or someone else would know each card that was dealt and to whom.

Trump will pardon them. They have paid their debt to society based on the embarrassment just from being arrested.
But seriously player props need to be outlawed. To ripe for abuse.

I wonder how many players and refs have rigged games. I’m guessing it’s more common than most people would believe.
with prop bets being so popular now, i bet it's extremely common. And honestly, without banning prop bets, I don't see how you can avoid this from continuing to happen. It's infinitely easier to rig a prop bet and get away with it than it is if you're only able to bet on the spread or money line. The latter can still happen obviously because it has in the past, but it wasn't until prop bets became so widespread on the mobile apps that you kept hearing about players being involved in it.

Then I'm guessing the players weren't cutting the deck. How did high stakes players not find it suspicious that the dealer was never offering anyone the option to cut?

Billups and Rozier were among a total of 34 people arrested. The arrests were the result of a yearslong investigation covering 11 states and involving tens of millions of dollars, FBI director Kash Patel said.

What Rozier was doing is way to easy to do. Basketball in general has to be the easiest for players/refs to get away with gambling

And it is a shame, because I enjoy betting player props. But the NBA has to reel it in
