Boom. Paul wins New Haven. Moves up to a new career high of 92, now the 7th highest ranked American.

Challenger at Cary, NC starts today. Wolf plays this afternoon.

I came across this while I was checking the tournament out. Last year Duckworth came all the way through qualifying to win the tournament. 8 wins in one tournament! I doubt that happens very often at any level.

I just can't get into it. I was watching Pouille play someone in bumfrick France tonight and that appeals to me more than this concocted hype thing.

If I had never seen some of these guys in person, I would have been in Chicago last year for sure. But, I had just been to NYC, so that wasn't happening. I'll probably tune in late Sunday to see what's up.

It’s been good for comedic value so far, especially the vids of the players getting fed up with all the questions for Roger and Rafa regarding slams.

Europe wins Laver Cup. I enjoyed the matches I watched on Saturday.

I actually followed it a bit. Rafa withdrew today and World almost pulled off the upset. Sock had 3 wins and one was even in singles.

Credit to Rafa for even going there. He was all out of sorts and had every reason to tank against Milos, but he battled and ground him down in the end. That court was weird. I think it was slow, but it was almost so slow that it messed up Rafa, too.

Haha, I wanted to post that last night but I wanted to leave that honor to you.

Instead of "Rafa the tactician" I was gonna go with "the goat giving a tennis player advice."

Rafa the tactician:

Nadal: "Over five shots you will win more. After five shots, when the point is going, you are winning more than him. You know, like, 8 - 5 for you. I checked these numbers. But the percentage is much more for him. I know it's difficult because this guy reads the ball so well."

Federer: " Well I know but...but I would assume that maybe I would be patient and then go."

Nadal: "Exactly! Well, wait for the right one and when you have it, you'll have to push him, because he's not missing."

Federer: "Yeah! He's a little bit too comfortable."

Nadal: "Yeah.. for the moment, don't worry. You can do it.. Stay like that until there and let's just see.

Not surprising here: building the perfect player

Forehand: Roger
Volley/touch: Roger
Serve: Isner
Return: Novak
Backhand: Novak
Fighting Spirit: Rafa by some margin

If I had to add a category, I would add passing shots and go with Rafa.
