Atlanta!!
Ryan Harrison is actually playing tennis right now. He is one set away from making the main draw. He is dropping 150 points this week after making the finals last year. If he doesn't score any points he will drop down to around #200.
Another lost name, Jack Sock was given a WC into the main draw. First match back since his injury. I'm not sure if he even has a ranking worth protecting pre-injury. But apparently name recognition with WC you into a lot of smaller tourneys for a little while.
Isner looks to be back to form after winning Newport. But oddly enough he will have to rematch (from the Newport final) Bublik or face Opelka ,who has beaten him twice this year, in the 2nd round.

So apparently Kyrgios hopped over to ATL to play a doubles match with Tommy Paul. Lol.

Not a terrible move to get some no-stress match play before Washington.
If you asked me a few years back how his career would turn out, I would have guessed either a multiple slam winner or a complete bust. It’s starting to look like neither will happen. He appears content to play just enough to maintain a decent ranking, while simultaneously accomplishing absolutely nothing, aside from social media attention.
Anyone think he will take the game seriously at some point? Anyone actually want to see this happen?

Jesus.
Saying he has the mentality of a 15-year-old might be a compliment at this point.
Anything to stay relevant.

For sure! I don't know much about him but I hope it is fun to watch him as a pro over the next couple of years. If nothing else he proves that being #1 NCAA player will drop you into the pros around 250 and your game has to make major strides from that point to compete and truly go full time pro. Maybe with 100% focus on tennis as a career he can make that big leap.

De Minaur wins Atlanta without facing a break point. Good to see him back at 100%.
