I don't know about the first line, but it feels weird to agree with Shitsy for the most part...

To revisit from upthread, is Berrettini legit?

Grass is so quirky that these guys could lose early at Wimbledon, though, and I wouldn't blink.

Both could be true

I'm dating myself for you young bucks, but this is starting to feel like some Becker '85 deal where a young guy blasts his way through Wimbledon after good results at the tune-ups.

I don't know that it would exactly equate to Becker in that Becker just served harder than anyone. Perhaps a 1990 US Open Sampras breakthrough, where an athletic young stud breaks through on the big stage?

I’m watching the Federer match right now is anybody with me?

ETA: Looks like the same ole dominant Roger Federer on grass. I’d love to see Fed win one more Wimbledon and he could pull it off in July.

I predicted FAA will finish the year ranked in the top 20 back in March. It's starting to look like that prediction was overly cautious. The kid will likely finish in the top 15 this year. He's the best teenage talent since Djokovic and Murray. He's going to really clean up on the big titles when Nadal and Djokovic inevitably starts to decline in the next few years.

Hey Bench, what do you think about that young 18 year old kid from Canada Auger-Aliassime? I think that little dude could make some noise at The All England Club.

The only thing I'm worried about with Felix is that he's completely unproven in slams. Had to pull out of the French, didn't qualify for Australia, and lost in the first round at the US Open last year. Who knows how he'll be able to handle a best 3/5? Can he sustain his level at Grand Slams or will he be another Zverev? I think he can sustain his level but we won't know for sure until we see it.

I never knew Felix existed until I saw him play last week in Southwest Germany on grass. The kid has a good volley game and he can bang out the baseline too. I’m not saying Auger-Aliassime will be a Semifinalist but people will know who he is by mid July.

And as for the women, Ash Barty is maintaining her image as “the american killer” by knocking out Venus yesterday. That Australian Barty is really killing me by beating all my favorite girls. Hopefully one of my american girls will beat Barty in July at Wimbledon.

Yes! Federer to play Goffin tomorrow for the Title. I’ll be here on TD for that match for sure.

The Halle draw has been a bit weak, so I wouldn't get too pumped about Fed based on that. I am actually more optimistic about his grass season due to the clay results. I worried the last few years that taking the whole clay season off would hurt his timing for Wimbledon.

Sexy Feli ends the FAA run. I'm surprised Feliciano hasn't ever really gone on a run at Wimbledon. I thought he was poised two years ago after winning Queen's, but then I think he withdrew from Wimbledon. It's nice to see Murray playing some good dubs with him.

Felix may have hit the wall there.

Don’t screenshot a parlay and send to friends unless you plan to bet it. Trust me.

I wonder what Feds trophy room looks like? I also wonder how much the weight would be if you stacked every tennis trophy he ever won into a huge bag and lifted it with a crane?

As for the women Ash Barty has completely taken over and it’s going to take Serena to right the ship.

Just managed to catch the very end. Enjoying each one of these. Would love for him to get another Wimbledon.

Me too I’m pulling hard for Fed in July. He has one more Wimbledon Championship in him I’m sure. Fed will have to go through Novak Chokeabitch to win it though.

That Sonya Kenin match was a great match. Kenin was down 3 match points in the second set and came back to win the third set for the championship. By mid July hopefully many more americans will know the name Sonya Kenin.

I disagree. Nasal will bear Joker and fed will go down in the semis.

It would be more ideal if one of the younger guys like Tsitsipas or FAA breaks through and wins. The younger players need to start winning majors soon or men’s tennis will die when the Big Three retire.
