Just running through the Americans and saw that Mackenzie McDonald hasn't played since the french and has pulled out of Wimbledon, bummer.

Tennys Qualified into Eastborne this morning.

Jack Sock is down to 173 and still hurt.

Harrison doesn't play tennis any more I guess.

Pretty wild that once you add in Qualifying that the majors draw in the top ~250 or so to one tournament.

If questionable Isner doesn't play at Wimbledon there will be no seeded americans. Wonder when the last time that happened at a slam.

That Sonya Kenin match was a great match. Kenin was down 3 match points in the second set and came back to win the third set for the championship. By mid July hopefully many more americans will know the name Sonya Kenin.

Mallorca highlights- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqJoukDkyvU

Very impressive. Amazing ball placement. Fun to watch her and Anisimova making moves.

Thank you for the YouTube highlights link buddy! I very much appreciate it. Yea I can see in Sonya Kenin’s eyes that she is determined to become a winner and her work ethic will only get stronger. The future of american women’s tennis looks great with Stephens, Keys, Anisomova, Kenin, and Vandeweigh.

Nadal will beat Joker and Fed will go down in the Wimbledon Semis

PJ, you really think Rafa Nadal can win another Wimbledon? I wouldn’t mind that at all but Rafa’s grass court game is just not up to par with Novak and Fed right now imho. I wanted Nadal to play Novak in the French Open finals so Nadal could beat the hell out of Novak but I gotta take Novak on grass all day.

I was trying to convert a thought into numbers to show how fresh Nadal was going into the Final against Thiem. What I came up with was number of games played going into the French final.

Nadal- 160
Thiem- 230

Will be interesting to see how much of that dominance was the surface vs how peaked out his game is right now.

I do. He almost won it last year. That semifinal between him and Djoker could have went either way.

I predicted FAA will finish the year ranked in the top 20 back in March. It's starting to look like that prediction was overly cautious. The kid will likely finish in the top 15 this year. He's the best teenage talent since Djokovic and Murray. He's going to really clean up on the big titles when Nadal and Djokovic inevitably starts to decline in the next few years.

He'll be no. 1 in the world. That's a safe bet.

I'm still a little bummed out about that one.

Certainly a bit of both. Rafa is a pretty good grass court player. If he's coming in in top form, you can generally expect him to go deep. Last year was a great example of that. I don't know that he's in quite as good form as last year, but he's close. I'd be surprised if he got outed early. But whether he can beat Novak or Smug on grass remains to be seen. Well...he can. We saw that last year. But will he? They can also beat him. And probably so can teetsy or FAA.

I can’t imagine how long that would take to research, if it’s even possible.

If you find out let us know

Surprised to see big Sam reel off 4 wins after being out for a couple months.

He won a nice little shot glass to add to his trophy collection.

We're back!

Newport surface just killing balls. Ball just isn't bouncing at all.

Can't believe they still haven't moved the stands closer to the court. That has to be one of the worst tickets in sports.

Maybe one day I'll go back through the Wimbledon thread and address some of the idiotic takes in there.

Might need to hire a staff though.
