Agree. I remember when he went public with his stance on the men deserving more money, got attacked by women and the media and then backtracked. He’s a good dude but goes overboard trying to show it.

Davis Cup atmosphere for this Fognini match... should be a good mental test for Crappypants.

What are the Vegas odds when whether shitsy pants wins a major?
Because I'm taking them. The competitive spirit factor is not a small consideration. And I know that there is disagreement on whether shitsy is douchey or not, but alleged potential douchability aside, he's a tough arse competitor.

I've only seen odds for the big 3 + Zverev. I would estimate it at about 10-15%, so true odds of about +600 to +900.

Frankly, what we think about him as a person doesn't really matter. He keeps passing all the tests. That AO loss to Rafa was supposed to break him, at least for a while. His backhand isn't supposed to hold up this consistently. Fatigue, injuries, it's like he's immune to everything.
ETA: I'm already on him tomorrow at -115

Nerd shite...

In today’s third-round match in Rome, Roger Federer posted a truly unusual stat line. He beat Borna Coric in three sets, 2-6 6-4 7-6(7), winning 95 points to Coric’s 107. That’s a total-points-won rate (TPW) 47.0%, not unheard of for a match winner, but near the lower limit of what’s possible. By Dominance Ratio (DR)–the ratio of return points won to serve points lost–Fed comes out at 0.78, where 1.0 represents an evenly-split match. He has won only 24 times in his career with a DR below 1.0, and today was the first time since 2015. These types of decisions are often referred to as “lottery matches,” because there is more luck than usual involved in the result.

Federer and Osaka withdraw. Also I think Nadal has found his stride.

You got $$ on Diego, or you just rooting for the short man?

Shitsy v. Rafa should be fun. I like Rafa in this one.

Scoreline looks routine, but I didn't see it.

Won’t be able to see it but the Diego serve vs. Novak return should at least have some comedic value.
ETA: Diego actually won more return points.

Schwartz battled like a mofo from what I saw. Rafa/Nole at about 10:00 eastern tomorrow. Guys have been complaining about conditions. Novak wanted the court swept every changeover as I think it is slippery.

This is starting to remind me of a lot of their French Open matches. Rafa is just on another level on this surface.

Djokovic and Nadal have never bageled one another. That might change today.
