Roberto Bautista Agut is going to punish Isner. Shouldn’t be close.

I’m not sure who’s the best player left in this tournament. It’s Roger on paper but heat and humidity evens it out a bit.

I'm pretty pleased with myself right now:

1. Did not take Djokovic
2. Took KA -- easy win
3. Sprinkled Coric -- chicken dinner
4. As noted earlier, did not fade FAA.

I have a Daniil sprinkle pending, and I'm still well up on the day if he loses, but I think he has a fighting chance.

It's John Isner. It will be close.

Going forward, the subject of court speeds can only be initiated/discussed by those who have first read this article:

Summary
There has been an obvious concern on the part of the ITF as to the speed of the game. This
has provoked research both within their organisation and elsewhere into the reasons behind
this and possible solutions. Evidence for increases in serve speed was demonstrated using
tie-break data, and a sharp threshold in speed where players would be unable to return
serves faster than a certain level. A common proposal to slow the ball has been to increase
its size. This and similar measures clearly illustrate the need for understanding of the
behaviour of all forms of equipment in the game.

Basically, they funded this study because they were worried about tennis becoming a purely servebot game.

To that end, I support the fine efforts of Dr. Dignall.

I don’t know if it was announced on TV, but the Fed match has been moved to tomorrow on the ATP app.

Fun tennis, just two dudes hitting the ball as hard as they can every shot.

These prices on Kev and Shapo are a little nuts...

I’ll probably regret not nibbling at 33/1

Totally forgot Isner won Miami last year, knocking off Cilic, Delpo, and Zverev in the process.

I've seen enough shaky performances to doubt him. the first half of 2017 will go down as his last period of GOAT level dominance imo. I think he knows his game is in decline at this point too

eta by doubt I just mean not a favorite to win majors at this point. would take an extraordinary performance

eta2 I think the reason he's playing a couple clay court tournaments and the French is because this might be his last year on tour.
