Masters 1000's are not meaningless.

I blame march madness. And the Vols not sucking at basketball.

I was mostly tied up in the hoops, but got some glimpses of tennis yesterday. I found myself not really caring that Fed was struggling. The event seems strange, must be the football stadium or guys being a little tired after IW.

I have never seen Ferrer show emotion like that. It seems like a ridiculous cliche, but he flat out wanted that match more than Alex.

Poor Nick wants everyone else to be chided by the media after one or two questionable decisions when he’s committed about 50 of them.

Goffin -320 vs. a clay guy on a slower court? The same Goffin who just played a Challenger in Phoenix? Oddsmakers rarely miss, but I think this is one of those times.

I don't know how, but they always know.

And this is why the "Never bet against Goffin" rule was created.

Figured. That's why I just posted it with no comment.

While we're on that topic again, Novak vs. RBA tomorrow is one of the best examples. Novak is -450. We all know he will win, but it's so hard to lay -450 on anything.

And before someone replies, "RBA did beat him in Doha", that was on a much faster court surface. Not to mention it was the first tourney of the season.

Figured I'd post the lines, for informational purposes as always. These are from 5D just now:

Tue 3/26 301 Novak Djokovic -450
3:15PM 302 Roberto Bautista-Agut +400

Tue 3/26 313 Kyle Edmund -105
12:00PM 314 John Isner -105

Tue 3/26 325 Felix Auger-Aliassime -115
12:00PM 326 Nikoloz Basilashvili +105

Tue 3/26 337 Borna Coric +155
1:15PM 338 Nick Kyrgios -165

Tue 3/26 349 Kevin Anderson -225
3:00PM 350 Jordan Thompson +205

Tue 3/26 361 Daniil Medvedev +285
9:00PM 362 Roger Federer -315

Tue 3/26 373 Stefanos Tsitsipas -115
7:00PM 374 Denis Shapovalov +105

Tue 3/26 385 David Goffin -150
4:15PM 386 Frances Tiafoe +140

Borna Coric anybody?

Sprinkle on Daniil perhaps?

What's your price point on this one?

I agree that Novak likely will win, but RBA has actually done reasonably well against Novak (2-7, and taken sets in losses), so that sort of gives me pause.

I guess this question could be re-phrased as, "What would the line have to be for you to take RBA?", and I'll say about +800.

Hmmm

The Stork at -225 looks fairly safe. I wouldn't treat Thompson beating Dimitrov as some type of big win.

Agreed on this one.
