Miami average age is 21.8 for starters
So
Indiana 22.4
Ole Miss 21.6
Miami 21.8
I guess is there anything that actually shows Indiana not being right in line with everyone else?

It really is incredible how quickly they’ve ruined college sports. No reason to continue following this shite when the pro model already exists and is exponentially better than the current abomination that is cfb/cbb
Yet every NFL sucks baw will still tune in and ratings will be higher than ever.
I agree with your point, its just the truth.
Also, is it a bad thing? What about Indiana's story isnt good. Are they old? yeah, but well coached and play sound football. Seems like a win to me.

Yes, it’s a bad thing for the overall state of college sports. Indiana is irrelevant here.

A 5th year senior has always been 22-23 and a freshman 18-19. The crying about this shite is comical.
How many 5th year seniors were there before courts started bastardizing the game?
You know what a really good coaching job used to be? Recruiting a kid who could even possibly develop into a 5th year senior starter. That kid probably wasn’t a great HS prospect. And he probably doesn’t have the measurables to leave early. So now you have a little you out there seeing the game of football the exact same as you do and it benefits the team.
I do not like your 5th year senior comparison to the game today.

You do realize this is because of the NCAA waiving eligibility consumption for 2020?

Of all the current problems, that's the one you find needs addressing?

Indiana paid $4M for their roster.
Miami paid $19M for theirs.
Anyone bitching about the way Indiana did it is just a basic baby-back bitch.

Where do you want Freshmen 18 year olds to play?
There’s hundreds of college teams all over the country in all divisions… so what if most aren’t good enough to be on the elite ones

Completely missing the point. No is complaining about 21-22 year old 4th year players sticking it out with the same program. That’s how things were done back then. The pros didn’t want you unless you were proven over multiple years and had developed your skills.

Star ratings out of HS are a bunch of freaking nonsense. The Heisman and the NC was only a 2, and Underwood , a 5 star looked like a deer in the headlights against Ohio St. Dont give me this freshman crap. It means absolutely nothing. Either you can play at a high level or not.

You do realize this is because of the NCAA waiving eligibility consumption for 2020? In the future, the 6th year guy will be rare. 5th year guys were quite common since the 3 game redshirt rule went into effect. Nearly all of Indianas transfers came from G5 and turd P4 programs. Kent state, james Madison, Austin peay, Michigan state, Cal. Of the four Indiana defenders who made first-team All-Big Ten in 2025, three are JMU transfers—these are guys who signed with an FCS program out of HS and nobody wanted, but ermagherd, they’re a year or two older than Ohio states roster of elite talent.
13 7th year guys were on Indiana’s roster. 13! Why? I can sort of understand a 6th year because of Covid, maybe, even though it was all fear mongering sissy arse bullshite, but there was no excuse for that. And almost all of them had played several seasons. It’s a damn shame and a farce.

Why? They also have 45 freshman and RS freshman on the team But the starters average age is 22.4 Ole Miss starters average age is 21.6 I’m working on Oregon and Miami now
And you won’t cite a single source and you are fixated on starters because you know the data will say otherwise if you don’t. Outside of QB and OL, every other position gets rotated to one degree or another.
Like I said before, you are a very DISHONEST little man.

The difficult part of coaching was getting teenagers to play good football while becoming young adults and everything that comes with it
This is true but you’re leaving out the convenient part of all leagues now allowed to pay players.
There is a reason Saban retired when he did

Hang on. I mean that average value also suggests that there’s a handful of players who are like 24 years old lmao. Unless the starters are all hovering around 22-23 years in age, which is also striking me as a very old roster. This also needs to be considered in light of today’s roster turnover at 99% of programs. This isn’t 2005.
Idk I feel like it’s a valid point that they had a very, very senior roster. And theres a lot of nuance to defining an “old” roster, like how long they’ve been playing together, relevancy of the ages for bench players who rotate in frequently as opposed to the irrelevancy of the ones who don’t, etc.
It’s a very Reddit, “I just started watching football 3 months ago because Go Hoosiers and screw Bama lol,” thing to just pull a random stat and say “see the roster wasn’t that old.” Most unbiased voices in the sport all agree it’s a very old roster, but who cares. Again, it’s dumb Reddit-tier fans who need to have their cake, and eat it too, and show it to all their friends and family without anyone saying a word against it.
Yeah, there are a couple 24-year-old outliers, just like there are a couple 20-year-old outliers. The vast majority are 4th-5th year players. It is an old starting lineup, but it's not as insane as people are making it out to be. It's not much older than that of Miami. Most "unbiased voices in the media" haven't actually looked at the data. They're just repeating each other.
I don't do Reddit CFB stuff. It's terrible.
