PGA of America president Ted Bishop called Ian Poulter a little girl yesterday on Facebook, and is now paying for that comment dearly. His tenure was scheduled to end on November 22 anyway, but his "sexist" comments helped show him the door a little bit early.

He was by far the worst prez maybe ever. They wanted him out last year.

That's what's so funny. He ended up making "sexist" remarks because he was trying to censor himself.

I agree with him. Poulter is a whiny little bitch. I can get away writing it. He couldn't.

@IanJamesPoulter -Faldo's record stands by itself. Six majors and all-time RC points. Yours vs. His? Lil Girl. @NickFaldo006 @pgaofamerica

— Ted Bishop (@tedbishop38pga) October 23, 2014
Bishop expanded on his thoughts in a post to his personal Facebook page, which – like the tweet – was deleted more than an hour after publishing:

"Used to be athletes who had lesser records or accomplishments in a sport never criticized the icons," Bishop wrote. "Tom Watson (8 majors and a 10-3-1 Ryder Cup record) and Nick Faldo (6 majors and all-time Ryder Cup points leader) get bashed by Ian James Poulter. Really? Sounds like a little school girl squealing during recess. C'MON MAN!"

Later Thursday, PGA spokesman Julius Mason issued the following statement:

“Ted realized that his post was inappropriate and promptly removed it.”

I was watching TGC and what has to be a major blow to his ego is the PGA has made him persona non grata, he never existed. All he has is PGA membership card like any other pro.

What did Poulter say that prompted this response?

Lol. He apologized to Poulter and "anyone he may have offended" by calling Poulter a little girl.

I'm sure little girls all over the country are pissed over this.

He gets no extra money being prez. He gets private jets and perks but that's it. My friend here was in running for national secretary. They told him he has to plan on being gone from his job for 120 days a year. When he asked who pays him for those days, they said your club has to. So he withdrew his name. All it is is a title. The board that lots don't know who is on makes all votes.

But the ideas and things he brought up has been garbage.

One being that he allowed ryder cup merchandise to be sold at golf shops. Well most shops don't have accounts with Ralph lauren. And there was no way they could get an account in time and no way they could get the guarantee to bring in.
