Why don't you go bug Tulane or something, since you're so worried about in-state "rivals" and clearly are just a wannabengal. You shouldn't even concern yourself with what happens north of Alexandria, or even I-10. Why a non-ULM fan continues a Tech-bashing bitch thread is beyond me.

ULM does not draw more fans than Tech - unless they play home games in other states...
I always thought it would be interesting if ULM shutdown their program and Tech built a new alternate stadium with Davison's money in W. Monroe so both schools could pool resources and the ULM would have onwership in the program as well with the stadium...
Never happen but I could see them averaging 30-40k per game during good years snd putting a very good team on the field

Some LSU fans tend to forget that LSU was pretty bad in the 90s, had the stadium built as a "dorm" to secure funding....man I hate bandwagon LSU fans...
Tech may have beat LSU in the 90s when we sucked. What a few years does to the mind!

See, here's what makes Tech laughable. Most college football fans can't even tell you what town Tech is in or even what fricking conference they're in. Hell, even I forget they're in the WAC from time to time. Speaking of which, how many people can name the fricking members of the WAC, other than Hawaii and Boise St.
And how many fans give a rat's arse about the difference between the WAC and the Sunbelt Conference? Precious few.
The point is that to argue that there's some sort of significant difference between the two schools' football programs, much less try to compare the difference to that of LSU and other Louisiana Div I schools is silly.

as bad as we were back then, I still don't see tech competing with LSU. Yes and some don't know why the lakes were built around LSU either. Some don't know that Huey Long was a big part in the creation of the Band, as well as writing some of LSU's fight songs. Back in the day, the state had to do what it had to do to make sure LSU had facilities comparable to other major universities.

Very well stated, and all VERY true.
Tech is a minor league school in a minor league town with a minor league football team that plays in a high school stadium, and that's not going to change, at least in this millenium.
This Ktulu7 clown seems certifiably insane. While claiming to "not have time", he continues to ramble about some conspiracy against Tech. Until he's ready to give us the particulars of this conspiracy he should just STFU here and go back to his usual Tech circle jerk Board.

Most college football fans only follow their team and the conference they are in. Believe me, Hawaiians are well aware of La Tech.... moreso than LSU.
You only follow the big 6 conferences which does define you as ignorant... you ignore the rest of D1A. You only know Boise St and Utah because they were allowed to join "your party" on occassion. You would have no clue how good Boise State is if they didn't beat Oklahoma in a BCS bowl a couple of years ago. There's nothing wrong with that... you just shouldn't speak for the collective rest of the nation because you choose to ignore about half of D1A teams.

Like most college football fans, I choose to focus most of my attention on the grownups. Sorry, there are only so many hours in a day. Again, the point is that Tech and ULM are in that segment of college football that you say people ignore. The difference between them is not enough to explain Tech's delusions of grandeur. xiv is absolutely correct on that point.
