LSU fans just like to jump on the bandwagon at some period in their life, okay MOST or MANY LSU fans, not all obviously... and try to ride the success as if they created it. They like to act superior to everyone else just because they are wearing an LSU shirt. Congratulations, you're a fair-weathered a-hole that can just pick whoever you see as "winning" at the time, and then claim you're better than the rest because of it. I'm sure you feel great about taking credit for the successes, real and cheated, that LSU has achieved, even though most of you homers don't have anything to do with it.

First, I attended my first LSU game when I was 7 years old. I've always been a fan.

Second, what are these thinly veiled allusions to LSU's malfeasance or venality to which you continually refer? I'll give you time to figure out my question.

I went to both Tech and ULM and root for both schools. Full disclosure, however, I will have to admit pulling for Tech when the 2 schools meet. LSU is my favorite team, though, so I think that allows me to be objective while also having a bit of insight into both programs. And the simple fact is that Tech's football program is currently superior to ULM's. To what degree is certainly up for debate(I probably think the gap is wider than most non-Tech homers on here, but it that doesn't really matter). Since Tech is superior currently--again, to what degree is up for debate--it gives them an advantage in the current relationship between the two universities. And though they don't play each other, the two schools are direct competitors for recruits, fans, support, revenue, etc... That said, it makes no sense to do something that would greatly benefit your direct competitor It's not about being scared, it's about making a good business decision for your school. And helping a school not 40 miles down the road when you don't have to, is not a good business decision for Tech.

And I will agree that Tech fans can come off as elitist and snobby with delusions of grandeur. But at least they aspire for greatness(though it likely will never be achieved). It's much better than the air of pathetic desperation that xiv is reeking throughout this thread. Pick yourself up, 14, Rebels are above this.

/thread.

I was going to sum this thread up with "Tech fans can be douchebags but at least they have passion", but this works too.

I maintain that the "WE KNOW OUR PLACE!" cry from the ULM side is pathetic and sad.

I'm not even in the mood to begin to defend Tech. That was a fricking embarrassment on national television. If we have a QB thats worth a shite, we hang in the game because the D has to respect him as well as Porter in the backfield. With Jenkins in there, the defense knows hes not going to be able to complete a pass over 10 yards. Yet Dooley continues to stick with him. I can't remember how long it took him to bench Taylor Bennnett last year when he had like 2 TD's through 5 games or something ridiculous. I think I spotted Bicknell on the sidelines tonight

Could someone explain to me what part of Tech getting killed (37-14) by a 1-3 WAC team constitutes "trying to improve"?
