I remember back in 2000ish, a Techie was talking shite to me (I was an LSU student) saying, "Well WE have a Heisman candidate."
That's Tech, guys.
You know, I'd feel a lot better about the loss of the ULM/Tech series if Tech played ULL every year. The fact that Tech avoids them both just makes them look like pussies.

And when was the last time Tech beat Tulane?
Now go sit in the corner.
You realize that Tulane has outscored Tech 273 to 62 in the history of the series, right?
And that Tulane scored more points in our last meeting than Tech has amassed for the duration of the series, right?
Sit. Stay. Roll the frick over, dog.

Oh, that's not misleading! We've only played Tulane one time since helmets were invented... and that was the miracle year when Tommy Bowden and Rich Rodriguez went undefeated! Play us every year and I guarantee Tulane would be Tech's bitch... just like ULL and ULM (well... more like ULL than ULM).

We're not the ones who are dodging people, puppy.
Besides, what I stated was true. Tech has avoided playing other in state schools in just about every sport. Why is that?
I'll tell you. You are a bunch of craven punk assed bitch mongrels.
(BTW, I'm just talking smack to keep this tread going. I couldn't care less if we ever play Tech again.)

I'll also be on the sidelines at West Point as the Green Wave take on the Black Knights on October 3.

Believe me, the only reason we haven't played Tulane is because Tulane refuses to schedule us. We have been in contact within the past 12 months and no deal has been signed. USM and Houston have signed, but nothing from Tulane.

Nice.
Yeah, it's y'all's douche of an AD who wants out of the deal. It's been discussed ad nauseum in other places about how the game in NOLA benefits LSU more than any other non-conference road game, especially because it's a virtual home game. It should also be noted that his argument that LSU "needs" 7 or 8 home games a year is dishonest, because schools like USC manage with 6 home games per year--AND they travel cross country at least once every year. Anyway, since the Superdome game is worth almost as much as a home game to LSU financially, that should be a non-issue.
No, Alleva is allowing the element of the LSU fanbase (and some Baton Rouge people...) who can't see beyond their hatred for New Orleans in general and Tulane specifically. Make no mistake, the LSU/Tulane series makes more money for NEW ORLEANS than it does for Tulane, and there are those out there who resent that.

Yeah, we're so scared of Tech that we signed deals with Georgia Tech, Alabama, Ole Miss, Rutgers, and LSU. Since the last time that we've played Tech, we've had home and homes with Texas and Mississippi State.
Yeah, we're scared of Louisiana Tech.

I'm not saying you're scared because schools don't fear other schools and that is a ridiculous argument (unless you're 12). Maybe y'all are full right now and it will happen in a few years, but I know there have been conversations and there have been no announcements.

Syracuse, Ole Miss, ULL, Navy, SMU (when they were WAC), BYU (finishing the home and home this weekend), Southern, McNeese, ULM, Northwestern State, Southeastern, Mississippi State, Texas, FAMU, Auburn, Army (after they left CUSA), and LSU.
This is the list of teams that Tulane has played out of conference since we last played Louisiana Tech. We're not dodging you.
Thanks for putting our athletes up during Katrina, but you really need to get over yourselves.

Believe me, Tech would LOVE to play Tulane every year. We would LOVE for it to be a conference game.
