Being over here listening to a lot os local sports talk, I'm starting to become a Texans fan. I guess it helps that they're good this year, and the Saints are not good and never on TV.

I also don't dislike Alabama. Is that wrong?

Teams I wouldn't say I "root for" because I don't follow them religiously or anything, but I have a soft spot for:

NFL: Seahawks (my adopted team after the Colts moved)

NBA: Sixers (Dr. J is a god)

NHL: Blackhawks (best uni in sports)

MLB: D-backs (beat the Yankees in 2001... lifetime pass)

I guess I'm sort of a closet Packers fan. I don't really care for them at the moment but I'm just a fan of that franchise in general...

Also any team who is playing Notre Dame

"Open" Teams - College are LSU, TCU and WVU... NFL is the Saints, of course.

"Closet" Teams - College are Oregon State and the Service Academies (although I love seeing big upsets so at any given point a big underdog is my new fave). NFL - Bengals, Redskins and whoever plays the Cowboys.

I pull for Auburn in the SEC mostly, although when Matt Mauck played for LSU I found myself rooting for the Tigers. Enjoyed watching him lead a big comeback win on at least one occasion.

I also pull for ND when it doesn't affect USC.
Quite a few of my kids' teachers have been alums and they're great people.

No Irish love when SC plays them though.
