Rummel has 1st quarter testing this week. Principal wouldn’t allow them to play Wednesday or Thursday. Sunday was an option but Rummel had to get approval from there bishop. So who is scared?

Gotta love people arguing about which team of 15-17 year olds is more scared

I guess they are scared if they’re 15-17 playing a team that is probably 17-19 in their starters

Not 19 though...

You think the archdiocese lets Rummel hold students back to play football...?

Jay Roth has never done it and he won’t let Nick Monica do it either...

Just FYI, many private schools actually recommend boys born in the summer start school a year late.

I hope you read that as if I was being sarcastic.

You know, since it's you...

But, yes...mostly Les being the leader of our fan base.

Also I thought there was some new rule where you couldn’t hold a kid back in 8th grade anymore and still be eligible to play as a senior.

They hold em back younger now or get a medical or hardship waiver

Ok so Rummel or any other HS only school isnt purposely holding back kids. The decision to hold back was done by the parents years before they are HS eligible.

We decided to hold back my kid who has a summer bday in PK (attended PK4 twice). Most we spoke to including school administrators encouraged it especially for boys. In fact many private schools recommend summer bday kids to start late and I know a couple who have July cut off dates for PK and or K.

I will guarantee Rummel has players that are either 19 or will turn 19 before the end of the season

Every school large enough does

My son will turn 19 in may of his senior year (he is only 4 now )

We dont give a shite about sports, but I see only positives about being one of the older ones instead of the younger ones

Basically same here, there are a ton of positives around being one of the older ones vs younger ones. Maturity and Educational benefits are clearly there. Sports is just potentially one of the positives.
