STM vs Rummel football game cancelled

Due to hurricane delta Friday night’s matchup of 2019 4A and 5A private school state champs has been cancelled. I don’t know about Rummel, but STM found an opponent, Walker HS, that will be played Wednesday night.

Why wouldn't they move it up? A bunch of games were played on Wednesday when Hurricane Lili made landfall in 2002.

Not sure, but I imagine neither team wants to face the other with only 2 days to prepare. And with the shortened season, there was no date to reschedule that worked for both schools.

Likely, STM couldnt move the game up because they couldnt rehearse with playing with 12 men on the field on such short notice

Rummel has 1st quarter testing this week. Principal wouldn’t allow them to play Wednesday or Thursday. Sunday was an option but Rummel had to get approval from there bishop. So who is scared?

TBH, I don't doubt that. But I wanted to see if it really happened that way.
I know this is a different year, but last year STM hung 50 on Catlic in a loss and Rummel only scored 14 on em.

Well STM will have a game tomorrow night. Coach mahaffey in Walker set up a game with them tomorrow night in Lafayette. Landry-walker cancelled on them yesterday afternoon
