You think? It's painfully obvious what she was doing.
Jay-z wearing a 5% Nation Medallion is much worse than a jealous old koger boyfriend being baited into making racist comments.

Too much hypothetical nonsense in here from people who don't know the facts of life. The rich and powerful will always win.
Keep debating over this illegal recording though it's hilarious. The only way this guy loses is if his wife divorces him, but as he has admitted in court to paying women that work for him for sex, it seems she doesn't care.

just because you created a false dichotomy that does not reflect reality does not mean that i'm playing semantics
unless you define reality as "semantics"

Yes they are. And many blacks have called them out for associating with him because of his money

Uh oh. His wife under Cali law is half owner and she is not under sanctions nor banned.

That still doesn't circumvent anti trust laws
Exactly my point.

She just said the clippers are the most important thing in her life. The clippers are like her Dr Pepper. She won't sell without a fight

Nation of Islam spin-off that started in Harlem in the 60s. Your standard "whites are the devil" militant black group.

Who was the third person?
From listening to the recording, it sounded like a maid/housekeeper, who was not at party to the conversation. They were barking orders at her in a different room.

i define racism as judging a person based solely on his/her race
I'm nitpicking, but does "solely" need to be in the statement?

So now the NBA has a duty to clean up all aspects of the game - no more racist players, no more racist agents, no more racist coaches - right?
Ok...are they going to take the same measures with any black players who say racially charged things in private conversations? Will they be banned for life and fined millions?
What a scary scary precedence this has just set. Thanks to PC, your 1st amendment rights are no longer secure in your own home. Will the same happen to all #$%$ who make racist comments. I'll bet not.
How is the league going to explain how Jay-Z is allowed to be an NBA agent after his racial rants "F*** white people. Whites are evil." I would say that this is much worse than Sterling's comments. The commish has a lot of work to do now that he has made this decision. Not defending Sterling, far from it, but this is way over the line for comments made in a private conversation. Expect Sterling to sue the league and make a lot more than $2.5 million. I think this is a really bad move on the commish's part.
