I'm not really offended. More just playing.

Though, im not surprised that a person that looks like you is so angry at the world.

I make them from time to time. Particularly when I see an article that I know will either be here or that I plan to post here. It's not that uncommon.

Im with you on that one RUTIGER.

As a childhood Yankees fan, I loved the fact that Steinbrenner had the smarts to start to build a champion by buying the best. hell, every sport does it now a days and he was the Godfather of spending money to get quality.

Everything now is money driven. Jobs, sports, economy, relationships....tell me that you make bank and a broke arse woman doesn't want you and I will tell you that your lying- hell, you can be as ugly as sin, and they still want you.

Prayers to the Yanks and the Steinbrenner family- I know the boys will carry on the tradition of excellence in everything they do- and this is just the motivation the Yanks need to win another one- its done!! 2010 Champs!! Of course we will hear "We did this for George"....you know its coming when Jeter and A-Rod are holding the trophy!!

Long Live G.S.!!

You do realize that some of the most notable Yankees in recent years came up through the Yankee system and that the dominant teams of the late 90s were a result of that, right?

Yeah, eventually they started making bank because they grew into superstars but the main pieces to those puzzles actually weren't bought, they were developed.

Pretty sure Jeter and Rivera were from their farm system. I think most of their 90s teams were or were not major free agents. Was Bernie Williams?

Met him when I was a kid at a Rangers Yankees game. Spoke with me and my dad for 5 minutes. Thanks for bringing winning back to the Bronx!

Not sure if anyone will get this, but

"Jerry, this is Frank Costanza. George is here, Steinbrenner's dead, call me back!"

RIP George's former boss.

I never understood the whole trying to act tough and cool in a thread about someone dying.
