Even on the date of the MLB all star game, that felon has still managed to steal the spotlight. fricking genius.

Love him or hate him, the guy was committed to winning. Some owners hate to lose money while other owners hate to lose games. He clearly hated losing games. It's always nice to have the biggest market under thumb, though. Wherever he ends up, I hope Billy Martin is not the first to greet him.

Hate the yanks, but sad to see this. One of, if not the most, prolific owners in all of pro sports.

He went from a hated resented man to beloved around here. All local NY sstaion running stories on him now, 2 4 5 7 etc

Nothing on YES yet though.

He was a hero in new York for all he did for people. Right on the heels Bob Sheppard passing too.

Tough day to be a lifelong baseball fan.

Love him or hate him, but he was probably one of the top owners in the history of sports.

RIP George.
