So O’s buyout and Brian Kelly’s salary come out of the schools budget? I think not.

Sorry NIL is a way for the players to get paid and it not come from the school’s or their athletic foundation’s budget.

College is already the minor league of NFL.

Is it really, though?

I would say most NFL players have NO legitimate college degree

But they still had to go to three years of college (not if they opted out)

Most of the NIL deals are coming from people who already donate to LSU don’t be naive.

I know this but it isn’t coming from TAF directly. It may effect the amount of money in TAF’s budget if people decide to pay more to the players and donate less.

Should lower the age for pro contracts here too. In Europe you can sign with clubs at 15. Here you have to be 18. The NFL 21, the NBA 19.

Basically the NFL rt now just gets a free developmental league that the universities are paying for. That just seems wrong.

It is wrong but the only one that can change this is the exact entity that benefits the most from the way it is currently and that is the NFL.

They can’t generate enough tv revenue that’s why the companies that control the NFL are using this NIL nonsense to gain total control of college football instead.

Agreed!

Have college players actually be student athletes.

There is no college loyalty anymore.

That should change.

Too violent of a sport for minor leagues; most nfl players are in league for barely year or year to start with much less working through minor leagues

Nobody wants to watch minor league football. Because of that, there is no money in minor league football. Nobody would choose less money in minor league football over college football.

Change the rule. Start a minor league…

Why would the nfl change a rule they created and are currently benefiting from?
