the caps loss was just icing on the cake for a shitty sports night

the mental block that is the pens in the playoffs once again gets us.

I've never seen 3 pucks go out of play back-to-back-to-back. Nice comeback by the Caps last night, bht not enough. Great job by the Penguins.

Pens are 8-1 all time vs the Caps in the playoffs.

Bonino was underrated as hell while he was in Anaheim. Did it all. Can play up and down the lines in various roles.

Yeah, Bonino is awesome. Needs more recognition from the USNT.

I was hoping the Caps could pull off the Penguins Special of getting outplayed and still pulling a win out of their asses, but it was not to be. The Caps upped the ante in OT and played so poorly that it was almost a contest to see how many spectacular saves Holtby could make with no help from the defense. Nice comeback, but it feel short.

For this to be a choke, you have to believe the Caps are a better team than the Penguins. I'll leave that up to you.

Brooks Orpik was the Pens MVP again. I think he's a double agent. Why couldn't he have been suspended for 5 games?

As a bit of an expert on soul-crushing losses, this one wasn't that bad. Hell, last year was worse. I'm still mad about that. But aslong as the team doesn't go into full panic mode like the last time they won the President's Trophy but didn't win the Cup, things are okay. The whole gang comes back save for a few minor parts, and Vrana, Barber, and Galiev will likely come up from the AHL. Never fun to lose, but this wound didn't even break through the callouses.

Tonight should be fun.

Regardless of what happens it's been a successful year. We're about a year or two ahead of schedule right now. A win would obviously mean a lot, but we're set for the next 5-6 years regardless.

St. Louis and Dallas looks like it may turn into the new big rivalry in the west.

Steve Ott has been smiling the entire practice. He does not look like a guy who is sitting out tonight.

I think I'd rather Jaskin. We need skill, not pest (Ott) or brute (Reaves).

It's been a long arse day at work. If (big if) the Stars can send STL home tonight you have to think Seguin will come back sometime during the conference finals. It's been pretty amazing how this team came back from getting crushed two different times in this series.
