good ridance to carpenter...I'll always cherish the 3 run bomb Berkman hit off him in the 7th inning of game 5.

what a dick thing to say about someone whose career is ended from an injury. Thats been his life since he was a kid

I hope you tear a muscle in your arm so you cant hit 400 yard drives or jerk off ever again

thats really sad news to hear. he was a great pitcher and seemed to be a good guy. good luck with the rest of his life

I hated that he was so fricking good for the Cardinals, but shite like this sucks. He may be a complete asswipe, but it would suck if he stays in pain for the rest of his life.

That sucks for him.

Good for the Braves, but never want to see someone go out like that

A kid dying of cancer is sad.

A grown man who has won the highest personal and team achievement in his sport, made 80+ million dollars and is still perfectly healthy not being able to play anymore is not fricking sad.

I didnt say it was the saddest thing ever.

but to see a great cut down to early is sad. Just like i think Bo Jackson is sad.

Im not crying or saying we should all pray for him but this is a guy who has done what he loved since he was a child and never known anything else and now hes told he cant ever do that again. probably never play catch with his kids.. yea thats sad

blessing is disguise?

Now, Shelby Miller is a lock to see the rotation, and the kid is ready.

Miller has Ace stuff, and can be an ace.

tebow has let the recruiting board get to him...when you have to post info from your inside sources on the drop of a dime for the final week of recruiting...it gets very stressful. I know he didn't really mean me any harm

I guess this means that Michael Wacha's timetable will speed up greatly?

It may push him up a little earlier, but probably not significantly. The biggest determining factor in him moving up will be when they feel he's ready.

Good pitcher. I totally disliked him being a Reds fan but that is a big loss for the Cardinals.

Yep, time for the top farm system in baseball to produce another stud pitcher to replace him.

Kelly? Rosenthal? Miller? Lynn?

Take your pick.
