I agree, however our pick ups after the draft need to be an A

The Cowboys draft was a turd on top of a turd. They overeached on a 3rd rd grade center and took a non-blocking TE. They already have two good TEs who can catch. The Saints drafts was more like a B- but its's hard to disagree with grade on its face. Armstread could be a beast in 2014.

The term "reach" is so flawed and is always used in a complete hypocritical way

Disagree with this take on Armstead for the Saints, he will battle it out for the starting spot at OT. He's a huge value, and freak athlete. I like the Stills pick; super fast guy, and could potentially fill the Devery Henderson role.

I love the UDFA signings too. Chase Thomas and Kevin Reddick were guys I couldn't believe went un-drafted.

With what little the Saints had to work with, I am very pleased with their draft, especially on the back end.

B+ for the Fins. I'll take it.

Every one of their picks was a need and represented good to great value (Jamar Taylor in the 2nd) except for trading up in the 3rd for Will Davis. That was the only head scratcher.

To Keep things in perspective:

Dr. Z Draft Grades - 2005 (Sports Illustrated)

A

VIKINGS -- Where do we start? Top pick 1) Troy Williamson goes deep and doesn't walk off the field while the game's going on. The other first-rounder, 2) Erasmus James, should have been the first outside rusher selected. Instead the Vikes got lucky and he was the fourth. 3) Marcus Johnson is a serious mauler at either guard or tackle. 4) Dustin Fox -- a cornerback or safety, take your pick -- vertically jumped 43 1/2, which is almost as high as I went when the Redhead presented me with those rugger tix.

1) A total bust
2) Playing for the New Mexico Stars
3) 18 Games started - current FA
4) 8 Career tackles - out of football

His reasoning for giving Cleveland a D shows how stupid this is. If taking Josh Gordon in the supplemental draft(he's essentially their 2nd rder) was a gamble that has paid off how can you give them a D for not coming out the draft with much?

Those grades were so soft. Several teams deserved D's.

New York Giants: Honestly, their worst pick might have been their first one: RB David Wilson (32) has playmaking ability, but he might struggle to make an impact in his rookie season. It was gem after gem from then out: WR Rueben Randle (63), CB Jayron Hosley (94) and OT Brandon Mosley (131) standing out. Grade: B-plus

Found this one funny as well

The cowboys get a C+ but the Saints get a C? Give me a fricking break.

The picks of DEs Ziggy Ansah and Devin Taylor and of CB Darius Slay could help, too, but all three have warts.

Post draft Grades are about as useless as Mock Drafts.

Look at Preseason Mock Drafts as well as Post-Season Mock Drafts, and you'll see how much of a waste of time they are.
Mock Drafts the day prior to the actual are nearly as useless.

Don Banks Mock 1.0 2013

Brandt Mock Jan 2013

McShay 1.0

Kiper 1.0

I think the niners killed it this draft. It's kind of scary the amount of talent they are accumulating. As far as the saints, I think with the few picks they had they filled needs they had. The issue is one draft isn't going to fix that defense.
