I just think LSU should be above wanting the Auburn game forfeited.
well i would think they would forfeit all the games, not just the LSU one.
didnt UGA hold out AJ Green just for that reason until the jersey shite got cleared up? or maybe i am wrong
Posted on 11/9/10 at 11:22 pm to Lester Earl
Yeah, UGA and UNC were holding out players while shite was being investigated. I don't see any conclusion to this saga during the season, I guess the best thing to wish for is this to be a distraction and for Auburn to drop a couple of games.

It's not about the Auburn game being forfeited. That's a loss on our record no matter what. It's about all their games being forfeited which gives us a shot at the SEC Championship Game and an outside shot at the national title. And I really really hate Auburn so this makes me happy.

if LSU were even to go 11-1 with out schedule I'd make no apologies for how we got the NC game. If Boise and TCU can get there by beating up on shitty teams I'll take one forfeiture W

If they decide to sit Newton then these allegations are probably true...if they werent true I doubt Auburn would sit him when they have a very good chance at a conference and national championship.

do you just shut it all down with a month left in the season? if they have 100% definite proof, maybe, otherwise, i dont know...
If it's not 100% proof, I say you base actions this year on level of cooperation u get. If cam and his family pull a Reggie bush then u sit him down.

and maybe they'll get lucky and have no penalties
very very lucky

Not really stupid or smearing if true. The guy is lying why he left his former school. I think he is lying about everything.

It would be funny though. I mean being a 2 loss champ in 07, the split in 03, and now if this happened. LSU would have good stories with their NCs

Again, if in light of new evidence its shown Auburn chose to ignore it and not take the precautions that UNC and UGA took, the hammer will be even stronger.
The key right now though is that Auburn is not under investigation and I don't know if Cam himself has been said to directly be under investigation by the NCAA.
If the NCAA came out and said Newton and Auburn were under investigation now, then it changes.
Remember that the NCAA wasn't going to do anything to SC until the Yahoo reports kept on coming. The media is the main reason that the investigation may actually come to light. It's forced the NCAA's hand here.

i just wrote an article where i graze a lot of those issues
i'll just post the last 2 paragraphs
Deep down all fans of a college team know that in some way or another, their program is dirty. Auburn just happens to really, truly suck at cheating. It is as if Auburn really wishes to become the modern-day Sisyphus, constantly trying to roll its program up the hill of college football, only to have it all come crashing down. If the fan base itself wasn’t such an insufferable group of “little brothers,” projecting their constant and overriding feelings of insecurity upon the SEC like the vomit of a sorority girl on Saturday night, I may feel a tad bit bad for them. As an LSU fan and an avid hater of Auburn, I have experienced two national championships in the past decade, while watching Auburn experience a pain that I can only imagine is that of a person who attempts suicide and fails. This must explain why they celebrate big wins by rolling their own campus shrines.
However, I remember the 2004 LSU-Auburn game, where Auburn avoided OT on another horrible call from the refs. And I just remembered the 2006 LSU-Auburn game, and how we were screwed out of a chance to win that game by home cooking. That was only the best LSU team of my lifetime, who was prevented from playing for a rematch from Florida (and a shot at the national title) due to Auburn winning cheaply. So you know what I say? frick Auburn. If they can’t even cheat right, they don’t deserve anyone’s sympathy.

I think the NCAA would try very hard to avoid another USC situation.
And how do you know that Auburn isnt under investigation? If the SEC or NCAA really have known about this since last December Im sure an investigation was started months ago.

This.
I don't get why people are talking so much about the UF stuff.
