Of course the coaches are going to be over dramatic . They would love for Michigan to have a post season ban.

First OSU gets completely triggered by Lou Holtz of all people and now this meltdown. When Harbaugh destroys them again, the tears will be flowing.

They had a month to do so

who said you have to completely change it? "Hey guys that thing that meant 'jack right 30 cross' before now means 'empty left fade'. "

I’m sure that’s an option. But again, this is where you get into the problem that these are college kids and some of them are absolute morons. One OL fricking up the signal awareness can completely blow up the play.

Dawand Jones said Ohio State could only change some things before last years game and for the most part, Michigan had the perfect defensive alignments. There’s a reason their first offense series was scripted and was an easy TD drive while they struggled the rest of the game.

+1 I think this is putting even more pressure on Ryan Day now. He's probably trying to do everything in his power to get out of this game losing to Michigan this year will not be tolerated by that fanbase

You think LSU completely changed their signals in game without prior prep?

This is changing signals, not an entire freaking game plan or play call terminology.

OSU fans remind me so much of Bama fans anytime a conference rival does something good. Got to get them on probation ASAP over something everyone does. At this point, this whole thing is laughable.

I doubt anything will be done this season. It's November and the big ten schedule must go on. But Michigan could be denied a bowl game and a playoff appearance. No shortage of teams for the playoffs and bowl games.

This is literally in the same category as parking in a space reserved for disabled people: reprobate, worthy of reprimand and fine, but so far from uncommon or unheard of as to be less than insignificant to all but the most unctuous do-gooders..

Park there and then put up a big sign that says “look at me I’m parking here and I shouldn’t be”

Then youre talking apples to apples

Teams now have 500 "analysts" that assist in every facet of the game. If you think this is uncommon, then you may as well believe players weren't getting paid prior to NIL.

What's funny to me was I recently watching one of those "NFL Greatest Games" deals on NFLN. They replayed, with commentary from players, the "Catch 2" game between SF/GB from 1999, I believe, where TO caught the pass in the EZ as time ran out.

Anyway, point of this being that Brett Farve and Steve Young discussed many times how both teams' coaches were all from the same coaching tree, and both teams operated under the same west coast approach, with the same signals, play calls, etc.

With that, several times during the game, the coaches intentionally switched up the signals at the drop of a hat for the sole purpose of fricking with the other team. It ended up working most of the time, but not every time. This was before the technology we have today as well.

So, yeah, keep calling everyone stupid.

I too hate Michigan with a passion. I hope they lose every game. They get so much love for shite that happened 100 years ago. This, however, is hilarious and is an easy workaround for any team with a competent coaching staff.

I'll also add, this is an SEC message board. Fans of Big 10 teams outside of Michigan have to realize we have been watching the king of cheaters, Bama, operate with impunity for close to 60+ years now. When I worked with the NCAA, my first conference call where we discussed the "rules" at a high level, the NCAA rep said, and I quote "this book is so huge and complicated...you can thank your conference rivals in Tuscaloosa for this".

In our minds, this is nothing. To you it is something, I get that. In the grand scheme of things, it isn't like Michigan has won anything either despite this. I consider your conference lucky if this is the worst "cheating" going on.

As I said before

"Whats the big deal? Doesnt everybody have a low level staffer run a ticket ring syndicate across the country using his network of spies to steal signs while also cosplaying as James Bond on the opposing sideline of your little brother school?"

B10 is so fricking soft. SEC coaches wouldnt say a thing. They would actually probably all be in a behind the scenes bidding war to steal the guy (and everyone he worked with) away and use him as an 'analyst.'

I feel like this entire thing is intentionally being blown up just so that they can get helmet communication for QBs and a QB on defense like in the NFL.

So then why did MSU run in their playcalls 2 weeks ago? And why wasn’t Ohio State able to change everything last year?
