Don't know why any American golf fan would want to see a USA based tour destroyed and replaced by a Saudi backed tour.
Cuz I wanna play Sawgrass for less than $800

If these exhibitions are surrounding the majors, it’s going to be tough for players to prep the way they’d otherwise plan on being ready for the majors.
DJ will play the london event(54 holes)
Us open
Week off
Portland event(54 holes)
Two weeks off
The open
Even if he wanted to compete just like before that isn’t inclusive to staying sharp

I laid my position out clearly and you knew exactly what I meant. I didn't know we were going to be pulling out "but for's" like this was a deposition.

To point to the fact that you lay things out as fact that are patently false and can be verified in 5 seconds

Right there in your own post, I said this
Hence me knowing there are 54 hole events that get points….

Are there some one off events that differ, yes

Or kinda like you saying something patently false when you claimed I said the OWGR and FedEx standings were the same

They aren't

Wait he said FedEx and OWGR are the same? I missed that one, because they definitely are not the same.
Weren't the OWGR based off McCormack or something and the FedEx are based off weighted fields with priority on the last 3 (used to be 4) events?

That's like asking what football players care about winning the super bowl
There was an anonymous SI article by an NFL player that said more than 80% of NFL players don't give a shite about winning as long as their checks keep coming

This sounds good.... When people are make 50..70..120k a year. Yeah I'd turn my notice in today if another bank offered me 100mm but not if I'm making 20 ..30 million a year already.
If you made 100k right now and someone offered you 200k, you'd take it. Pretty simple.
This still isn't a fair analogy. Yes 200k is double 100k but neither are life altering figures.
If you are worth a hundred plus million and have the prospects to make 4x 5x that in your career.. You are in that area where ... Everything is free you want it .. You don't consider the cost you just be get it. No you can't get a hold plated submarine but... You want a house in Tuscany.. You make a call and you are a property owner in Tuscany. You want to hunt fish in Patagonia... You make a call and netjets is on the way. They are at that level and will have that earning power for 15 20 years. So you sign a 200 mill contract for 5 yrs ... They are going to make 150 + in 5 years (if not more) granted they will also have purse winnings but 1) if the PGA Tour ban sticks and the LIV folds.... It's a bad investment over life 2) sponsors already have dropped LIV players ( UPS ...Westwood Oosty etc)
So the 200 million ( if that is a real figure vs 140 or 125....) Shouldn't be the whole consideration of the discussion ... Unless you are someone that isn't going to contend or wants to practice

But this is one of the beautiful things
From a fans perspective of the PGA... Nothing is guaranteed. I would think that winning in the NFL ( NBA MLB) if paychecks were less for losing. ( Then my jags would be moonlighting with Uber)

Pga, Masters, USGA and R&A needs to ban all these LIV guys from all the Majors. It's their only recourse at this point.
Then get ready for the lawsuits.

The LIV just had players finish poorly
Let’s average where each tours members finished. We can look at the First two days to get the places of those who missed the cut. Which tour do you think will have the higher average finish?

This is sad
LIV has 14 players
9/14 missed the cut, or 62%
Let’s start there for the PGA tour members
The PGA tour also had 11 players finish top 10. LIV had zero
PGA tour had 18 players I beleive finish top 20, LIV had zero
But sure, go ahead with your average finish calculation

What happens when the Saudis move on and the tour money is based off sponsors...and they are right back to where they are now.
Uhhh, they have the $100 million
True and what ever they win in purse
But what if the Saudis in 2025 decided to back out and the PGA tour holds up the ban. Now Dustin has 100+ million but little to no future earnings. For the LIV to continue ... Then they would need corporate sponsorship and would have to compete against the PGA and DP for that. I don't think this is a far fetched scenario.
