Do you seriously think ND holds UGA to 10 points with Carson Beck out there, and not an underprepared backup making his first start? Hilarious

He had a month to prepare for that game so he shouldn't have been unprepared. It wasn't like he had a week

Additionally, there were many people saying he would be better than Beck because Beck had been so bad all year. UGA couldn't run the ball, and their WRs couldn't catch the ball last season. They got beaten in the trenches by ND, which as you said should never happen basically

exactly...possibly 2 losses on that schedule. they split Oregon/Indiana and lose to OSU. win both those home games and its a 1 loss season for them.

but ND did beat UGa

Carson Beck isn't a world beater, but you can't ignore the fact that they started a backup QB vs ND.

CONS:
-They lost their two best players, Abdul Carter and Tyler Warren

PROS:
-They've got their two stud running backs back
-They return a lot of other good players on defense
-They've got a QB, Allar, going into Year 3 as a starter
-They've got Jim Knowles as DC
-They were pretty solid last year...easily a top 7 team
-They've got an easy, dog shite schedule

I know transitive property is bad, but ND did beat UGa, who beat Texas twice. And ND played Ohio State better than Oregon did a couple weeks prior.

I agree with you, but I’m nearly certain both Texas and Oregon would have been favored over ND on a neutral.

I’m not bent out of shape over it, notre dame was a good football team last year and they beat the teams the bracket put in front of them. But they definitely got lucky with their draw as well. That Oregon, Ohio state game looked like it pretty inarguably put the two best teams at the time up against each other.

Please explain why Allar is going to all of a sudden become Joe Burrow

The majority of Heisman QB candidates who make it to NYC are juniors and seniors. He also plays on a team that's not afraid to run up the score

Allar doesn't have to be Joe Burrow for that team to be very good

Also a good point. Your last three championship QBs are Bennett, JJ, and Will Howard.

Much like Clemson they made the playoff last year and have some returning starters. The rest of the context does not really seem to matter to those doing the hyping.

2. I don’t really understand the James Franklin bashing. The guy seems to always have Penn State in the mix, which they hadn’t been in for quite some time. He’s won the Fiesta, Rose, Cotton, and Peach Bowls in his tenure, close loss in the semis last year.

Their record against tOSU and Michigan.

Until playoff expansion, when your race had only two hurdles, and you ate shite whenever you cleared one, you got fricking nothing.

This was their "all in" year. Only they don't have 2024 Ohio State talent and they don't have Connor Stallions like 2023 Michigan.

Really alot like Clemson, they made the playoff last year and even won a game in the playoff, but if you look at who they really beat not much there that was impressive. And their QB looked awful.

So you get lazy takes from those who don't really want to bother digging deeper into the how and why.
