Considering the game was tied, calling it "victory formation" is slightly inaccurate in this case IMO.

"My opponent was trying to win the game, I wasn't ready because I stopped trying already" boo f'ing hoo.

Tie ball game is vastly different than down or up in victory formation.

This....

the people that talk about a sport they don't understand and get paid for it is alarming....i am to the point that I watch games on mute and don't watch the highlight shows anymore..they give me headaches honestly.

great call by Tulane won them the game...screw the rest. Congrats on having balls Green Wave!

They should be more upset about the following play where 3 Houston defenders whiffed on the tackle and gave up the winning TD.

I was mocking the people attempting to complain on Houston's supposed behalf.

It was a completely valid trick play that worked, like any other trick play in a game still in doubt.

Getting upset about it is pretty much no different than getting upset about a fake punt winning the game IMO.

Had Tulane been up 10 points and did this and scored a garbage time TD on it, then you could argue it was tacky thing to do.

In this case it was brilliant.

I haven’t seen him or really anyone complain about it.

Feels like a straw man imo

Pretty shitty thing for Tulane to do, but we all know New Orleans based football teams don’t win without dirty tactics anyways.

I’ll hand it to the Saints, they didn’t complain too much about getting beat by a far superior team this past week. High five!

I've seen fights over defenses hitting blockers in the victory formation. That's a bad spot for Houston. If they play normally and it's a kneel, they'll be looked at as a-holes.

Nope.

1 of the Houston players actually did a really good job setting a hard edge on that play

too bad for him that the play went to the other side where they were caught sleeping

Being surprised by that play is like being surprised by a fake punt in plus territory. From the yard line they were on, and only needing a FG to win, Houston should have been on guard. There's a reason they put in FG safe or punt return safe defense. Same should apply in "victory" formation in this circumstance.

I'd understand it if they were leading and icing the game. They weren't.
