I'd rather kill myself than be someone who was afraid of COVID and believed in wearing masks and social distancing and actually have bought into the COVID panic/hype. It's been a year, if you are still afraid of the virus at this point, its on you.

Well.... we’re waiting.

We have become soft. Therefore all decisions are made by the weakest of minds.

OP watches his first basketballl game in a year and threatens to slit his own throat in disgust over distanced benches

Turn off the game and go stare at your aquarium.

I absolutely watch games for the positioning of players on the sideline. It’s my favorite part of the game!

Bro, we been at this for a year now.
Chill.

Absolutely absurd. I'd love to hear one of you idiots who actually buy into the COVID hype explain why this is necessary. 7 negative tests in a row, nope, must all be distanced apart wearing masks in the seats.

If I were in a championship tourney and a single positive test could blow it for my team, I’d probably take tons of precautions to both avoid a positive, and isolate guys in case one does pop

I couldn’t agree more. Symbolism over substance. Just absurd that they are making them do this. They are literally hanging all over each other one minute and then have to go “distance” in the stands. So f ing stupid. F progressives.

Tbh, I like the spacing of the benches. Allows the players to celebrate better vs. be all over another on a cramped bench.

It’s not that big of a deal...

Straight up, who the frick cares? If they have to hop on one foot all game I don’t give a frick as long as we have March Madness.

Let me enjoy basketball, frick whatever political spin you want to put on it

OP is off the rails, but he's got a point. It's pretty retarded.

I guess it depends on what you consider better, but seeing benches bounce around, and be all over each other after a big shot is one of the great things about college basketball IMO.

I don't think it's because of COVID anymore. Benches are cramped together in basketball moreso to accomodate fan seating/production teams/camera crews/media. Now that you barely have those four things at games, the benches can be expanded to allow some spacing.

honestly i’d rather kill myself than be someone who gets this upset over how far apart teammates are sitting on the sideline.

overhyped cold

I’d love for you to join me at my cousins funeral today and tell her kids that it’s just an overhyped cold and she should be popping up out of her casket any second now.

Consider yourself lucky that nobody close to you died in the past year from this.

But I do believe things like spacing players out on the sideline is dumb and simply done for optics.

The 1st amendment doesn't apply here.

Oh so 1st Amendment doesn’t apply in private Corp situations like NCAA?? Like....NFL and NBA kneeling for the anthem? So the NFL can require a player to stand? *shocked faced*
