And tons of timeouts at the end of basketball games and pitching changes and pinch hitters at the end of baseball games.

Timeouts are a designed part of the game in basketball.

And baseball isn't a set time. Pinch hitters don't waste the remaining time.

Substitutions aren't part of the game?

Holding the ball for the last shot, laying on the football til the ref takes it from you...

Not just to waste time.

Then again I'm not a big soccer watcher or fan, so my opinion is not important.

ETA: I'm not a soccer hater either, by any means. It just irritates me to see so many "injuries" at the end of the game during extra time.

Bush league as well.

Not sure how that applies here?

It's still wasting time and not giving your opponent a chance.

There's a shot clock as well. It's not really the same as faking an injury. And if you are holding for the last shot, then you are either tied or losing. Not protecting a lead.

Subs dont bother me as much, because I guess you can save them and use them strategically.

It can also apply when you're leading and you just hold the ball or play the four corners.

That's still different than faking an injury. You are still playing the game of basketball when you are playing the four corners or holding the basketball. Faking an injury is not playing the game of soccer.

to people saying these guys shouldn't be laying on the ground, I don't think you understand how it much hurts when you get kicked or whatever. Sometimes there are pussy who flop, but it happens in basketball too.

That's fair. There just seems to always be someone on the ground for the leading team in the extra time of every soccer match. I didn't mean to come off as a soccer hater. I could list a ton of stuff that pisses me off about every sport.

I understand what you're saying, but it was directed more to the people that say soccer is a bunch of grass fairies.

Yeah. I figured.

Ive had my share of soccer injuries, so I know it hurts like hell sometimes. My buddies and I used to play soccer in an empty parking garage every Thursday night. There would be some major collisions and injuries every night.

LOL. They're still taking dives like soccer players. I know it doesn't hurt to hit that ground.

You're an idiot. In order for snow to stick, the ground has to be frozen. So yeah, it hurts.

I've played rugby both in the snow and in freezing rain. I found that wearing sleeves under a short sleeved jersey or wearing a long sleeved jersey sucks in those conditions, so I played in shorts and a short sleeved jersey. You warm up as you run around.

The wind is a bitch, though.
