Next time someone says something like that, I'm going to kick their shins.

I love soccer but I hate seeing all the dives and people rolling around trying to draw a foul, but I would have done the same thing Dempsey did last night. We NEEDED to win that game. With as big as that game mattered, I would have been wasting as much time as possible. Especially in stoppage time. Those 3 points were crucial.

Why shouldn't soccer be played in the elements like every other outdoor sport? Don't schedule big games in Colorado in march and expect the Costa Ricans to be right at home.

NBA players don't writhe on the ground in pain as if they broke bones.

ETA: Well, not as often at least.

They get wheelchaired to the locker room instead.

You're an idiot. In order for snow to stick, the ground has to be frozen. So yeah, it hurts.

If you think any of those players were as seriously injured as they let on, you're the idiot.

I've seen that happen twice. Don't even pretend that NBA players dive as much as soccer players. . .

Not just to waste time.

Then again I'm not a big soccer watcher or fan, so my opinion is not important.

ETA: I'm not a soccer hater either, by any means. It just irritates me to see so many "injuries" at the end of the game during extra time.

I'm a huge soccer fan and always have been, but I actually do understand what you're saying. That's one of the drawbacks you have for a sport that doesn't end when the clock hits 0 (or 90, in this case) and where the clock doesn't stop for things like injuries or substitutions. However, at least we avoid those damn commercial breaks.
