So we just aren't gonna hear what the results of Durant's injury is?

It's been almost 2 days.. surprised we haven't heard any leaks or announcements.
Maybe another tearful press conference.

Golden state won't believe the NY Docs. They think there's a chance it was just a muscle spasm.

He tore the achilles. Going into FA, Durant doesn't want any more dramatization of a tear, and he's clearly done for the series, so they probably will be quiet about it.

I mean was the video not enough or did you need sound effects too?

I’m just afraid something terrible is going to happen to Klay if he hints he’s going to leave.

I love watching the demise of the Golden State Warriors.

My prediction: Warriors offer KD a contract substantially less than max due to his injury and KD takes hit because he doesn't want to have to try to win a championship and sit on the bench for majority of the time while the others do all of the work.

If he goes elsewhere, he will actually have to try to get back to being 100% from injury and be the backbone of the team. He's staying in the bay.

KD has a 31M dollar player option. He doesn't have to take what the warriors offer if it is less/he isn't happy with it.

So he takes the option and extends for less money. He doesn't want to work hard. He will sit on the injury making his millions and return to try to win another couple of championships without doing much.

With the history of impact an Achilles injury has, I think he would be wise to sign a max deal with anyone who offers it.

If he takes the option and there’s a setback or he clearly can’t return to his previous level then he likely will have left money on the table.

Does he have many options? Some team will be dumb enough to offer a player with an Achilles injury a max deal. Not guarantee he will come back 100% from that, so really he doesn't have the bargaining power anymore.

You'd just be wasting your cap space by throwing money at KD right now. Just saying.

Possibly the Knicks.

So he doesn't have options, and he doesn't have bargaining power but some teams are going to offer him the max?

Man, these are some bad takes.

It is worth the risk for more than a few teams to sign him Anyways. 70% Durant is still the best player in over half the teams in The league.

So there is another tendon that runs behind your leg to your ankle the same way. I popped mine playing flag football felt it run up the back of my leg and couldn’t walk for like 3 days and was on crutches a week. The whole back of my leg was black and blue. LSU health center docs couldn’t tell me what was wrong but I didn’t rupture my Achilles. I talked to a ortho about it years later and he told me that tendon is basically like your appendix. It’s not needed and it bruises and stuff but you heal from it without surgery.

All that to say there is a possibility although a small one he didn’t tear the Achilles. I haven’t followed any of this besides a glance here or there so I don’t really know.
