Well in this case the two 5A finalist beat the two Div 1 finalist... Bad. So there's not much need for speculation.

it affected the quality of football in the state and. has hurt UT.
UT has had to recruit nationally for years because the quality of the in-state football hasn't been on par with any other SEC state with the possible exception of Mississippi.
This goes back well beyond the public-private split in the prep football there.

Destrehan beat Dutchtown in the regular season and the playoffs, 45-14 and 26-7.
Rummel lost to Dutchtown in the regular season.
So LSU should be in the national title game? They beat Auburn.

I am FLAT-OUT saying that I have seen Rummel, Destrehan and Dutchtown play, and Rummel is not on the level as Destrehan, and we already know that Acadiana is on a higher level than either of them.

yea and they couldnt beat St Aug either...oh wait
its a different team when fully healthy.
Acadiana got Fourcade in his 1st career start as a soph
Rummel was up 21-0 on Dutchtown and lost their most important offensive player at half time. They shouldnt have lost that game but shite happens
no mention of blowing out Catholic, or Holy Cross. 2 really good teams this year

Even last night Rummel wasn't overly impressive. Byrd basically gave them the game.

If Rummel played Acadiana today it would be the same result that veer machine is and was too much for them to handle
Posted on 12/13/13 at 12:37 pm to Shoulderchoke
Byrd had like 250 yards of offense. 57 in the 2nd half
Rummel had over 400. Lol

Serious question. How far would Byrd have made it in the public bracket?
Posted on 12/13/13 at 12:42 pm to GhostofJackson
They'd prob be playing Acadiana tonight or tom whenever that game is

97 boys are varisty football eligible at John Curtis, with 96 of them on the team and the remaining boy (Broski) the only male cheerleader...go figure
