You just said Curtis chooses their team from a larger population offering than Winnfield. That's the definition of how you classify. That's why they exist.

Your redefining classification from size of school to the population of the surrounding area. By that method you would have 1A private schools in Baton Rouge playing in 4A districts.

What about vice versa? 1A & 2A public schools playing in districts with 4A private schools - since we're basing all classifications on area population not school size?

If you have 200 students at one school & 200 at another it matters not where they came from

This is a ludicrous statement. If 1 school's 200 students can be drawn from a population of say 10,000 while another school's 200 can be drawn from a population of say 200,000, and it is within the rules to select from that population based on football playing ability, then I think it matters a great deal.

All privates should separate from LHSAA and form their own league.

I would love to see that happen. Take the Catholic schools too and then tell the LHSAA to frick OFF....
and NO we're not playing a public school again, in any sport, and NO we're not splitting gates fees anymore, and NO we're not paying to bus you in, and NO we're not paying for anything.

Have FUN at your football games where you bring 55 people, 45 being the band! GOOD LUCK!!!!

So then if that is so unfair, why not just bump Evangel and Curtis back up to 5A like it was before?

Instead, now you have alienated all private schools which could force them to leave LHSAA and they watered down the product immensel

Because we're dealing with people that have a brain the size of a sunflower seed. Not once have they thought about what the real issues are!

No teams that voted for the split have played yet.

2 private divisions would have caused a total split.

And w two private divisions Curtis would still have won state

They need to let Curtis play all the way up in football

And that will never be allowed

The easy solution is this. No split. 5 classifications. 5 playoffs. 6 championships

5A
4A
3A
2A
1A
Curtis vs. Evangel
