Talked to a lot of ex players that just graduated and they all seem to think we have a really good chance at winning it all.

Offense will be just as good if not better. I think the D will be much improved as well. I'm expecting a deep run this year.

On paper, this may be McNeese's strongest team in 10+ years. Unfortunately for us, SLU may be the best FCS team in the country this year. Will be interesting to see how this season shakes out. Hope we can at least make it a game this year.

I don't know much about div II but I know how well they did last year and reloaded the few positions they lost. Seems like this cat is going after the big time juco players and guaranteeing a start vs them competing for a spot at a dI school. I pray Bennett stays healthy and wins the Walter Payton award. But we will back in the hunt for the ship.

You DO realize that Southeastern IS a DI school, don't you?

Well, the Southland has 11 football playing members for 2014....so no one would want to play 10 SLC games.

The matter of the fact is that schools like Southeastern, Nicholls and McNeese have made heavy pushes to educate the public that they are, in fact, Division I schools. That was the driving factor behind the I-A/I-AA change to FBS/FCS. I can guarantee you that if you were to go in any of those athletic departments and mentioned something about them being D2, they would correct you just as I did here.
